Yup, the second half of your accusation is totally true.
As for the first half, just because you are paranoid doesn’t mean that I am not out to get you.

We recently watched two films on two successive nights. The first was
Michael Collins, the second was
The Wind That Shakes the Barley. Both are highly recommended. The latter film is more personal and focussed on the the lives of ordinary Irish during the early 1920s. Little was spared in depicting the brutality that the English inflicted upon the Irish.
Pick them up used from Amazon if you don't have them already.

You can't "rescind" your consent to be governed.
You might as well "rescind" your right to pursue happiness. Of course you can rescind your consent to be governed — that whether or not your consent (a) validates, and/or (b) is meaningful to those in authority is quite beside the point. — To say otherwise is to assert that one does not have the right to his own thoughts, opinions, and will.

Implied consent.... If you vote, pay taxes and play by their rules then you have implied consent to be governed. Ah, that's kind of interesting because it could be reasonably alleged that both not paying your taxes and paying your taxes are violations of the law. Fast & Furious was, quite obviously, state-sponsored terrorism perpetrated by the US and the US Code makes it illegal to provide financial support to governments engaging in state-sponsored terrorism.

Some of the posters seem to miss the point. Our Founders withdrew their consent to be governed by a monarchy over two hundred years ago. We all know what happened.
I withdrew my consent to be governed many years ago. That the present day Lexington and Concord are yet to happen in no way changes that.
From the Declaration of Independence:
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.
Some of the great wrongs perpetrated against me have been at least partially righted by the Heller and McDonald decisions. The lower courts are dragging their feet in putting these matters right.
The real question to ask yourself is this; if the government is challenged by those who oppose its present tyranny, will you lift a finger to help that government? If you will, then you are part of the problem. If you won't, then you are part of the solution.

Irish democracy. This is the situation in which a large part of the ruled start disregarding the rulers.
Catchy. I like that........
