Constitutional carry also seems in play in Louisiana, where the state Constitutional amendment, stating that the right to keep and bear arms is a fundamental right, and subject to strict scrutiny, may cause the permit law to be rendered unnecessary to carry concealed in that state.

I’ve always maintained that requiring a permit to carry a concealed weapon is an infringement on an individual’s 2nd amendment guaranteed right to keep and bear arms. It’s good to see some movement away from this particular infringement.

The same restrictions that now apply to concealed carry permit holders would also apply to people who would be eligible for the permit.

I'm confused by that statement. What permit?

The primary underlying principle here, as in all aspects of keeping and bearing arms, is that the more freedom loving, law abiding Americans who own and carry firearms, the more reluctant the government will be to expand its persecution of the citizenry.

Gun control is simply the government’s way of protecting itself from the consequences of its despotic misdeeds.

We don’t need 2A to protect ourselves from criminals, that was always assumed as a given; like our right to eat food and drink water, it’s a natural law. 2A enunciates our innate right (note I do not say it gives us the right) to protect ourselves and our rights from government.

Government doesn’t grant rights, it only takes them away.

If any other states adopt Constitutional Carry, they’ll have the streets awash in blood just like here in Arizona...oh, wait...NOT!
