PRESIDENT OBAMA: ......because I think what used to be considered sensible we now somehow label as liberal. Think about it: Social Security, Medicare.
O'REILLY: But you are pay into that. It's the freebies that are are the problem.
OBAMA: What freebies are we talking about? Welfare actually is worth less now than it was 20, 30 years ago. It's worth less than it was under Ronald Reagan.
O'REILLY: Take a look at the disability explosion. I mean, it's insane. The work place isn't any more dangerous now than it was 20 years ago. It's through the roof.
OBAMA: Bill, the point is we have not massively expanded the welfare state, that's just not true.

OBAMA: “Bill, the point is we have not massively expanded the welfare state, that’s just not true.”
You Lie!
I am in total agreement with you.
It’s much easier on my nerves to have other Freepers doing the dirty work of watching these POS’S and then telling us what they saw and heard .
Correct you are.
they become VERY dangerous.
buckle yourselves in.
Don’t you have to pay back student loans? How is that ‘welfare’?
Obama’s going to wave his hands and cancel all?
What a narcissist.
He doesn’t brook any kind of dissent and if you don’t think the way he does, then you are the problem.
@$$hole.
Why would this interview be any different?
obammy is a damned liar.
Yes, and the fact that the executive director of the IRS visited the White House over 150 times in my first term had nothing to do with using that agency against conservative political opponents.
obama you lying POS.
what does the country need right now?
What a benevolent dictator he is. How about looking at those pricinples set in stone in the constitution. Find me where it says the government, er the taxpayers, need to provide anything to anyone?
“Dont you have to pay back student loans? How is that welfare? Obamas going to wave his hands and cancel all?”
Agree. It’s not welfare. However, to your “Obama’s going to wave his hands” comment; I would not be surprised to see Obama and Reid to attempt to do exactly that. Actually, Obama may even try to waive student loan debt by executive order, especially if the Dem prospect should look dire for the 2016 elections. Way back in the day (early 70’s) it was still possible, along with a little help i.e. GI Bill, to pay as you went by working if one attended a school with the word State in its name. But, even public schools are more expensive now than back then. By using the GI Bill along with working I was able to complete college debt free. So, I’m interested in feedback from those who used student loans to get their degrees. Would you be in favor of student loan debt being forgiven? Just curious...
Yeah I heard that and wanted to reach though the TV at which point I realized I had just bought it and was watching a recording.
When Obama argues, it is like a kid:
Is not
Is too
Did not
Did too
{stomps foot}
Mommmmmmmmmmmmmmy! They are being mean to me!
I gave Bam 7 Pinnochio’s for that one and another 7 for “there is not a smidgeon of corruption in the IRS”.
We did not expand welfare, there are just more people on it now.
That statement requires a bit of Clintonesque parsing.
Obama has just used executive privilege to expand and grow existing programs like Obamaphones (Bush), SSI and Food Stamps (Great Society) for his own ends.
Technically he has not created any “new” entitlements. He’s just screwed with the eligibility checks so that everybody qualifies.
Which we all need to keep in mind the next time a George W. Bush comes along pitching a prescription drug benefit or somesuch.
Obamacare subsidies are a new entitlement.
How about the lie that he had painted houses during the summer to pay for college? My husband caught that one.
Obama is out of touch with reality, and he revealed his insanity to O’Reilly.
