I can't possibly be the only one who thought this about the U.S. Olympic teams uniform...

2012 was a swing an a miss...this time around it was a swing, miss, and then the freakin' bat slipped out of the designers hands...

It's the Olympics, not an ugly Christmas sweater contest.

Ugly sweater contest winner is dead on. It was too busy and granny looking.

The Germans were tweeking Putin noses a little with their rainbow outfit

Meanwhile Putin was thinking, "Don't make us have to come over there and kick your ass, again."

They look obnoxious which is sadly, what a lot of people around the world think of Americans.

This is the perfect uniform to represent the idiots ruling this country at the moment and the morons that elected them.

The U.S. reminds me of an “Americana quilt” done by a little girl. No rhyme or reason to the pattern. It was sort of a collage of stuff that didn’t come together well. I guess sometimes less is more. I thought the opening ceremony (minus the mishap of the one star not turning into a circle) was nicely done. Very theatrical in my opinion.

If it has stars and stripes it’s fine with me.

Yes, she is indeed Lauren Lauren (Lauren Bush Lauren). Married to designer Ralph Lauren, nee Lifshitz.

She's a model and a designer on her own. She's very, very attractive. She's been a vegetarian since age 4.

She's the daughter of GW Bush's brother Neil and his wife, Sharon. She's the granddaughter of George Herbert Walker Bush.

Her line of designer clothing is called "Lauren Pierce".....the name Pierce being grandma Barbara Bush's maiden name.

What's in a name?....LOL.

Maybe SHE's the one who should have designed the U.S. team jackets.

Then again, maybe she did!

One couldn’t miss knowing that they were American, so I’m all right with it.

I ‘ve gladly avoided watching any Olympics for at least 10-12 years now.

Thats ‘point and laugh hysterically’ ugly.

I read that they were knitted by a lady in Washington State, believe it or not. Someone also told me that they had first ordered the outfits from China, but once this became public news, they had to scramble around to get somebody here to do it.

I have to admit.. the Americans came out and their confidence and joy for life just showed. They honestly looked to me like they were happy to be there and having fun. Their walk, smiles, waves... just everything.. was confident.

Well... if that is true then I am changing my mind. I would much rather something made her for the Olympics then manufactured in China. I don’t know how to knit at all... if this was a rush job, then the lady in Washington State did an excellent job. (it takes me forever to sew a button back on a shirt so props to her!)

Personally, I think they’re still ugly. But I don’t think she designed them - all she did was knit them, so it’s not really her fault!
