Boner is a same member of the party all Democrats belong to, The Government Party.

Yep. All the political drama is for show.

Couldn’t agree more. As long as we do ... “if you don’t vote the Dim will win” you get this. It’s been going on for many years now.

Show the GOP our power. Do NOT vote if it is one of the same ol same ol. They WILL get the message.

But, alas, I don’t see so many changing on that. We just keep saying, “please Sir, can I have some more”.

He’s going to lose that anyhow. The Dems will crush him for good measure after he’s of no further use to them and that will be the end of the invitations.

No, just like John Roberts, they have something good on him. Its all part of the DC game.

Ah. You you believe that:

A) He is as pure as the driven snow.
B) The NSA has found nothing controversial by monitoring him 24/7/365.241 for nearly a decade.
C) The Left wouldn’t muscle someone closely aligned with their goals for the shear joy of muscling them.

Got it.

(Not that he isn’t intrinsically anti-conservative)...

My first reaction was that they have something on Boehner. If what they have is bad enough to account for this treachery, wouldn’t he have been better off just slithering away before now? No, I think as with McCain, Ryan, and a few other jerks who are backstabbing us, they view themselves as dealmakers, and principles don’t mean a damn thing.

This is what happens when you ‘vote for the R’. You get a “Republican” leadership that is indistinguishable from the Democrats.

Ya don't say?

What?

I’m saying that every time an R does something anti-conservative, the first thing that seems to be said is “Pelosi has his file” or “he’s hiding something” or some such. IMO that is gives an EXCUSE and cover for a politician. I don’t believe Boehner is being forced into anything. I think he is so blinded by his hatred of conservatives, and the Tea Party, that he (and his fellow travelers) will do whatever they think it takes to destroy them — and if that means the destruction of the GOP and the very country itself, they don’t care.

*********
You’re right, they’re just horse traders who don’t really have any deep seated convictions or principles. The funny thing is they are always trying to compromise with people who won’t compromise.

The only thing I admire about the Dems is that they play to win. And it works well for them.

Republicans don’t want power.....They want all the perks, with none of the responsibility.

It can’t be both?

In a abusive relationship, the abused spouse is devoted to the abuser, yet the abuser can’t resist giving frequent verbal and physical beatings...

Washington DC is one of the most ruthless places on earth. Integrity means nothing. It’s all about power.

Boehner is exhibiting more than weakness; he’s showing outright fear. He has to be compromised. The Dems have something good on him and he’s their puppet.

Boehner has been inside the beltway a long time. I don’t doubt there is a female lobbyist sandwich or other photographed hijinx in his past.

Remember when Reid leaked some of Boehner’s office emails during the Vitter Amendment fight? Boehner did NOTHING. There is one big clue right there.

"Boehner is exhibiting more than weakness; he’s showing outright fear. He has to be compromised."

Of course he is. You can't be a member of the House as long as Boehner has been and not have the Democrats learn something of your character and behavior. Particularly your behavior in private. Boehner probably thinks he has many Democrat "friends" in the House. He going to find out those "friends" can't wait to stick a knife in the backs of him and any other Republican they can.

"don’t believe Boehner is being forced into anything. I think he is so blinded by his hatred of conservatives..."

There is some truth to that. He is also the type of person who can be easily influenced by close confidants (his friend, Rep. Steven LaTourette, convinced him once he became Speaker to attack the Tea Party, and the Chamber of Commerce has been leaning hard on him to push its agenda- amnesty, caving on the debt ceiling, and "pragmatically fixing" Obamacare instead of calling for its outright repeal- these are all the workings of the Chamber- look it up).

Still, I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that the most vindictive administration in history would dig up all they could find on the Republican Speaker of the House...

The one thing every right winger should do is visit porn sites of all ‘types’. Just to have it on NSA file. Then announce they have. Why? To take it off the table as a blackmail issue.

Then when a dem brings it up, laugh in their face and say “What’s the issue, it’s just about sex. We ALL do it!”

I’m quite serious.

Thats why I harp on ridding ourselves of the psuedocons. Here, in real life and in politics. Every time you see a freeper mouthing that stupidity, all it does is keep the lurkers cowed and too skeered to say what they really think. No one likes being mocked and anyone who cares do dig through my and several likeminded freepers here will see the level at which the psuedocons will go to ensure people stay on the GOP plantation.
