Posted on 02/20/2014 3:14:34 AM PST by Renfield
Our children are the future of America, and our public schools are systematically training them to become accustomed to living in a Big Brother police state. All across the United States today, public schools have essentially become prison grids that are run by control freaks that are absolutely obsessed with micromanaging the lives of their students down to the smallest detail.
As you will read about below, students all over the country are now being monitored by RFID microchips, their lunches are being inspected on a daily basis by school administrators, and the social media accounts of students are being constantly monitored even when they are at home. Of course these sorts of things do not happen everywhere just yet, but on the path that we are on it is just a matter of time.
At this point, many of our public schools very closely resemble totalitarian dictatorships, and so if the United States ever slips into totalitarianism the students of today will actually feel very comfortable under that political system.....

Is anyone surprised?
The teachers’ union has been hand in glove with the Left for years.
Saw this happening years ago with the D.A.R.E program. Rat your parents out for using drugs. Become a ‘’child hero!’’.
And they are working at feminizing the boys.
Thank the drug war for zero-tolerance and DARE. And ‘thank’ you too, Bill Bennett, for paving the way.
I took my son to school in the fall, and I was horrified at the appearance of a new security fence around the place. It quite literally looked like a prison. I think my reaction to it surprised some people. I was angry, too, because my take on it, among others, is that they are teaching our children to be afraid. I took to referring to the principal as “The Warden” and the teachers as “The Bulls” (jokingly, of course. They seem to be very nice people and so far as I can tell doing a good job - I grill my kid and inspect what he brings home and his homework, etc). It was just quite dismaying to see a school look like that. Not the America I grew up in or want for our kids...
I’m pretty sure I was one of the last Generation that actually had a Real History class. We were taught The Revolutionary War, The U.S. Constitution, Civil War, WWI & II were a part of History, not how “Whitey” screwed everybody.
I stopped asking Kids (Jr High/High School & College) years ago “What do you learn in History Class?”
I was getting answers like how We started the War with Japan by dropping Nukes on them...
None could even tell Me any of the Amendments to the U.S. Constitution much less what it meant.
And was informed it’s NOT History, it’s “Social Studies”
Anybody else remember last 9/11 the “teacher” in NYC telling the kids that the planes crashed into the Trade Center “because they ran out of gas”???
> And they are working at feminizing the boys.
All one has to do is watch American Idol or Access Hollywood and how they gush or imply how great it is to be “diverse” and have sex with your own kind. Sick people.
> Anybody else remember last 9/11 the teacher in NYC telling the kids that the planes crashed into the Trade Center because they ran out of gas???
That would be called “a lie from the pit of hell” by most pastors...lol
Yeah, Bill "Book of Virtues" Bennett. Where "honor thy mother and father" means being a good little Hitler Jungend and reporting them to the police. Oh, and there was his little gambling habit that cost him a few miliion. How that fat clown still has a radio show is beyond me.
Churches, stand up and take your children back. Provide them with a Christian education.
That’s for sure!
I had mostly black history teachers in NC growing up. My history education always stopped with slavery. Months and months of being taught nothing but slavery.
Anonymous online posts are, of course, anecdotal evidence but I see a disturbing trend in comments on news stories about local or state issues. A typical post might be:
‘Will you people stop bleating about your rights! Meth abuse/drunk driving/speeding/etc. is a serious problem!’
Apparently no irony is intended in these posts but they seem to come from a segment of society that this article and your posts identify: a generation raised not only in a government-is-good hothouse, but one that is actively opposed to, and even angered by, the mere citation of Constitutional rights, to say nothing of asserting them.
Again, anecdotal evidence is just that and YouTube usually features the lowest of the low in commentary but the growing number of video clips featuring citizens flummoxing the police by refusing to do the hokey-pokey at checkpoints is also a good place to witness the lemmings of the state baring their tiny fangs. ‘You egomaniac! Shut up about the 4th Amendment!’ ‘Why don’t you just comply and get on with life!’ etc.
“...new security fence around the place...”
Was the razor wire section on top, facing inward or outward?
Well that sounds like a boat load-o-fun!
I’m pretty sure she never admitted the the Blacks in Africa sold out their own...
I don’t care if somebody is Black/White/Red/Brown/Yellow/Green or from another Planet, either one is a decent person or they aren’t.
I went to a School in VA when I was in like 4th Grade for a Semester while My Parents went on vacation. My Sister taught there. A small building, Auditorium in the center and Classrooms around the perimeter, Grades K-12.
She and I were the only White people.
There was no Racist crap ever. Everybody ate lunch in the Classrooms. If there was a show or whatever in the Auditorium EVERYBODY went.
SC wasn’t much different.
This is sort of undermined by student’s participation in high school sports. Depending on the humanity present in the coach(es) it is very difficult to monitor the feelings of the kids on the field. Coaches that I’ve known even manage to instill Christian attitudes on their players.
It’s small, but it matters.
lol.. Well it kind of reminded me of the crash fences at NASCAR tracks... bent outward at the top. And of course, I got the old “if it’s for the safety of the chirrens....” I found it abhorent.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
Be aware of what is coming into public schools these days....
Sex and Lies in Current TN School Textbooks
Add in the Common Core Curriculum and you can start to understand the urgency in finding states that can and will secede before it is to late and the voters under forty are brain washed to the point of submission.
Pretty scary isn’t it, when they fence-off schoolyards with chainlink fence topped with concertina wire? And the NASCAR fences don’t work all that well, either, but better than nothing.
IIRC, all the school shooters have used the *doors* to get inside. I don’t remember any of them being found afterward with boltcutters along w/ extra mags, flammables in their backpacks. If it wasn’t so sad, I’d have used a </sarcasm> tag...
You have to wonder, if a killer enters the school, how do the students escape if they’re blocked-in by prison-style fencing?
Kind of makes it problematic, doesn’t it? All the more reason for armed personnel inside. Nice that we guard our banks, nuke plants, corp campuses etc, but we leave our schools wide open to attack.
some schools need fences to keep the livestock out. Some schools need fences to keep the local denizens out. Some schools have fences but don’t need them. We had one, but it had gaps, which just might be lifesavers in situations one
hopes never occur:
from the Freemendo at Typepad blog 04 November 2007 Lockdown
Lockdown, lockdown, lockdown. No, no, no. When the terrorists began their assault at Beslan, around 40% of the students and staff ran like cuh-razy to get away from the school. A few hid in the boiler room. Every single one of those children and adults lived.
I saw an interview of a man who said he was there at Beslan, happened to be in Russia training them in anti-terrorist tactics. He said that the bloodshed that occurred there was much worse than what the media was reporting. He also said that as some of the terrorists were dying, they were screaming “This will be visited on America 1000 times!” They were planning something big. When al-Zarqawi was killed in 2004, they found layouts of schools here in the U.S. Then there was the theft of several school bus radios in Texas. Dry runs of men with backpacks getting on school buses in Florida, Washington and God knows where else. I believe they are still plotting something, but I don’t want our schools turned into prisons, that’s for sure.
