The above video about sums it up.
MSFT is now in the process of trying to make Win 8 look like Win 7. What does that tell you?
Dell, Lenovo (my personal fav), et al have backed away from Win 8. Some of them are offering Win 7 on new machines. Reason? Win 8 is so radically different from Win 7 that their tech support departments have been totally overwhelmed with folks wanting to know how to use Win 8. Most popular questions: “Where’s the Start button?” and “Where’s the Shutdown button?”
Both can be had by installing Classic Shell. http://www.classicshell.net/

There is no need. W7 is good operating system.
windows 8 is not that bad, its just different. there is a small learning curve but once you get used to it, its really not that different. If my SO can use it anyone can. Things to note, 8 has less hardware requirements then 7 or vista so if your system is dual core its likely compatible. while the OS is touch you can easily use a keyboard and mouse, 1 issue however the curser has a tendency to disappear, very annoying, so you’ll want to make the curser black and disable trails and other effects. Current laptops are becoming less user repairable, so likely updating hardware in the future won’t be possible. Don’t skimp on the hardware unless you know you can upgrade.
