Anything which will reduce payroll/revenue to the government will be opposed...It's why the tax structure has not been dramatically changed to benefit the tax payers.

But they throw a bone to the tax peasants and talk about it year in and year out.

I don’t want it changed either. I want it replaced.

We have the government the Central Oligarchy Party wants to have. During elections, each wing makes noises that appeal to voter turnout of their wing. Afterwards, nothing changes. Don’t kid yourself.

I am very certain the premise of this article is true.

There are way, way too many people in DC and around the country making way, way too much money off the tax code as it exists. Lawyers, tax lawyers, CPAs, bookkeepers, financial advisors, companies like H&R Block in Intuit (TurboTax), the list goes on and on.

Congress talks a good line. But I doubt the tax code will be significantly simplified in our lifetimes.

Corrupt federal lawmakers are laughing all the way to the bank for the following reason. As a consequence of parents not teaching their children about the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers, “special interest lobbyists and the companies they represent” don’t seem to understand that the states have never delegated to the feds, via the Constitution, the specific powers to legislatively address the issues that lobbyists and companies are seeking to control by bribing lawmakers.

We need major tax reform because it would be the biggest return of power back to the people of the United States since the American Revolution itself. And the only reform that can do this totally is the FairTax proposal (H.R. 25/S. 122--yes, it's a real bill in Congress).

Hey! They went to school for this occupation!

They are entitled to their accounting income!

Unlike Doctors who went to school for 8 years, the Accountants are entitled!
