Yesterday Paul Weston, chairman of the party Liberty GB and candidate in the 22 May European Elections in the South East, has been arrested in Winchester.
At around 2pm Mr Weston was standing on the steps of Winchester Guildhall, addressing the passers-by in the street with a megaphone.
He quoted the following excerpt about Islam from the book The River War by Winston Churchill:

Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith."Reportedly a woman came out of the Guildhall and asked Mr Weston if he had the authorisation to make this speech. When he answered that he didn’t, she told him “It’s disgusting!” and then called the police.
Six or seven officers arrived. They talked with the people standing nearby, asking questions about what had happened. The police had a long discussion with Mr Weston, lasting about 40 minutes.
At about 3pm he was arrested. They searched him, put him in a police van and took him away.
I think the poster proposed that Enoch Powell had a thing with a man, not that Winston Churchill did.
Enoch Powell is the famous anti-immigration prophet in England, and you can take him or leave him based on what he actually said (which I haven’t studied much) and how his predictions have turned out.
A case was brought regarding a young man who did not have the money or connections to get into the College. He was awarded a scholarship as a new application to open up the academy to lesser class youth.
There was a sort of initiation ceremony which involved Churchill and his upper crust friends. I have to be fair here. I will certainly delve into the matter with this great innovation, the internet.
I understand there was an enquiry and Churchill sued and won in court over slander. The slander was that sexual indignities were visited on the unfortunate youth as part of the initiation. It has been seen that these asinine practices still continue in certain Universities even in the United States.
I will not seek out the actual information before posting.
