Sarah Palin's Comment About Hilary Clinton's Pro-Choice Stance Is Delusional
Cafe Mom's The Stir ^ | May 8, 2014 | Ericka Sóuter, editor

I should say upfront that I actually admire a lot about Sarah Palin. I may not agree with all of her political ideals, but you have to respect a woman who fiercely loves her family -- which she clearly does. She has such a seemingly tight bond with her daughters and millions of moms look to her as a role model. But her recent comments about Hilary Clinton and abortion are way off base.

Sitting down for an interview with Extra's Mario Lopez, the former Governor or Alaska was asked whether she thought of the news that Chelsea Clinton was pregnant would help Clinton's chances in a run for the White House. Palin's response? She hoped that being a grandparent would help "open her eyes." Specifically, to her views on abortion and being pro-choice.

"Just knowing that her daughter Chelsea is pregnant with a baby - it's a real baby! It's not some disposable something," Palin said. "Those who... are in this position now as a parent or grandparent, they realize that sanctity of life - how innocent, how precious it is. And of all places, it should be in the womb that these babies are protected."

It's hard to imagine that Clinton's pro-choice stance would change so dramatically because she will soon be a grandmother. It’s not as though all of the sudden this will make babies “real” to her. She already is a real mother, after all.

In fact, it may make her dig her heels in even more. She strikes me as the kind of person who would want to work to ensure that her future granddaughters have the right to choose too.

Do you think being a grandmother will change Clinton's mind on the issue?

Miracles happen, sure.

But more than Palin being delusional, the writer is obtuse.

I’ve noticed that so many today do not recognize rhetoric and rhetorical points but take things literally.

I thought Sarah’s comments on Hillary’s coming grandchild were very much on the mark. If nothing else, they clearly raise the issue of the hypocrisy of the left.

A child is a burden, to be casually aborted if any mother wishes. Or, perhaps, it is a convenient political tool, to be brought to birth so grandma looks better.

Or, for the sake of the child, let’s hope its parents simply love it and bring it up well.

Ericka, you missed the real point of the quote.

“It’s hard to imagine that Clinton’s pro-choice stance would change so dramatically because she will soon be a grandmother.”

Of course this won’t change her. It’s all about the self. If they want the baby, then they do whatever it takes to give it the best start and protect it. If they don’t want it then it is so much trash.

If it helps The Hildabeast get elected, then the voters of this country deserve what they get. Only a moron would change their vote because the candidate’s daughter got pregnant.

Only a total mental case could make a link between that and Presidential abilities.

Truly, we have arrived at the IDIOCRACY.

Hilary Clinton is a left wing piece of garbage and scourge on this nation, she doesn’t care about women, babies or anything else except her own power and wealth. And of course she cares more about Chelsea and her baby, the politics are for other people.

Hilary Clinton is trash.

You tell me, what DOES Hilary Clinton care about? Zip.

Delusional was Chelsea lamented her grand mother’s parents did not have access to abortion. Meaning Hillary and Chelsea would never have been born.

But the is the media for you:

Miracles do happen.

Years ago I knew a woman that was very pro-choice. He daughter had a baby and the woman was showing off a picture. My comment was "Oh what a lovely little choice." That was the day she changed her mind and heart.

Why doesn’t this “enlightened” fake journalist post some photographs of the “unviable tissue mass” that she believes is eliminated during the act of infanticide?

I know a few months (years, maybe?) back here on Free Republic someone did that and was attacked as being tasteless.

Can you imagine the reaction in a “mainstream” media outlet?

Uh, we should give a rat's ass...because?

My work has also appeared in Essence and Self Magazine.

They are both crap magazines, so you'll understand if I haven't lowered myself to reading what would probably be crap.

Now an editor at The Stir...

And what the hell is that?

...I spend my downtime hanging out with my hubby, toddler, and Shih Tzu in New York City.

So now, being a wife and mother is hanging out and "downtime"?

My other favorite pastime -- reality TV. I swear I've learned everything I need to know to survive this life from Snooki, Kim K, and NeNe Leakes.

And knowing that, my dear, is why I know you are full of crap, a fake and a flake, much like your heroine worship fixations.

Get a life and quit thinking that someone actually gives a shit about what you attempt to write.

“but you have to respect a woman who fiercely loves her family” Which is not a given amongst democrats who fight for the right to kill their own children.

I am sick of abortion being called the “right to choose”. The baby has no right to choose to live. The older I get, the more I see abortion as downright evil. Don’t get pregnant or give the baby up for adoption. Killing a baby should not be an option.
