According to the RSS satellite data, whose value for May 2014 has just been published, the global warming trend in the 17 years 9 [months] since September 1996 is zero (Fig. 1). The 213 months without global warming represent more than half the 425-month satellite data record since January 1979. No one now in high school has lived through global warming.
The hiatus period of 17 years 9 months is the farthest back one can go in the RSS satellite temperature record and still show a zero trend. But the length of the pause in global warming, significant though it now is, is of less importance than the ever-growing discrepancy between the temperature trends predicted by models and the less exciting real-world temperature change that has been observed.

For the few remaining businesses in New York, no tax cuts, no incentives.
But, and here imagine the game show host voice: we’ll screw our few remaining businesses by offering a ten year no tax deal for anyone stupid enough to try to open a business in New York!!!!!
Well, contrary to the marxists that have run New York for decades that keep raising taxes and regulatory burdens on the poor bastards that are not yet on the dole, the marxists are trying to lure new businesses into the state to unfairly compete with the clueless bastards that are still trying to eke out a living for themselves and their employees.

Well, if taxes were so GD good why is the state willing to waive taxes for 10 years just for the privilege of being suckered in?
And why, if high taxes are so GD good for New York are the few remaining enterprises being told “go F yourself”, we are going to bring in competition that unlike you will not have to pay taxes, so just go die already.
As one of the original 13 colonies (all of them are Blue state failures) why don’t the good people of New York State and NYC go to the streets and lynch the thieving bastards that impoverish them and make every enterprise a corrupt one by design?
