The new Okies will be Californians fleeing from the all-consuming government. Eventually communities will start going belly-up under the load of government employees and other benefit takers as the smart people head on to greener pastures. They’ll keep doubling down until the system finally collapses. Like the desperate farmers that plowed up ever more prairie last century, government at all levels is plowing up more and more of the tax base. Desolation will result.

This is not satire, this is a fact. for the last 25 years or so, California's welfare agencies have been all but recruiting illegal aliens to have anchor babies born in California Hospitals with the hospital bills for both pre natal care and Labor and Delivery costs born fully by the United States and California taxpayers using both California and Federal tax revenues.
In 1992 over 60% of the babies delivered by O’Conner Hospital in Santa Clara were the anchor babies of illegal alien women with all of the costs being picked up by California DHS.
