Texas Congressman Refuses to Be Kept Away From Border Patrol Facility and Has a Message for Obam
The Blaze ^ | Jun. 15, 2014 | Sara Carter

McALLEN, Texas — While reporters were kept from entering the McAllen Border Patrol station on Saturday where roughly 1,000 illegal immigrants — mainly children — were being held, a local Texas congressman made clear he wasn’t going to be kept out, and spent several hours talking to the children and Border Patrol agents inside.

Rep. Henry Cuellar, a Texas Democrat, told TheBlaze he wanted to see for himself the difficult conditions the Border Patrol agents are dealing with concerning the large migration of people from Central America to the U.S. over the past eight months. He also wanted to check on the condition of the children being temporarily housed in the overcrowded facility in the Rio Grande Valley border sector.“I’ve been saying, ‘Use the nonprofits, use the churches don’t just use the taxpayers’ dollars to take care of these young kids,’” Cuellar said. “[President Barack Obama] still has a long way to go to improve this. Don’t just listen to the words of the bureaucrats up there in Washington, listen to the men and women that work here. The men and women of the Border Patrol know what’s going on here.”Another facility is expected to open July 11 to process the children who are now being held with adults at the McAllen station. In the past several weeks, the U.S. Coast Guard, Federal Emergency Management Agency and the national service program AmeriCorps have sent specialists to help take care of the children’s needs and to alleviate some of the strain on the overworked agents.

This guy would like to see Obama palm off 35,000 illegal orphans a month onto TEXAS churches?

Yup, that's what it looks like to me. This clown is no hero, he just wants someone else to deal with the problem, not stop it.

Obama will get away with this, just like everything else.

Have we heard from any Republicans concerning this outrage? No, we haven’t...and we won’t.

The midterms and the 2016 presidential elections really don’t matter at this point. The damage has been done. The “fundamental transformation” is almost complete.

Cuellar said he spoke to many immigrants who told him that violence and economic problems in their home countries forced them to leave and come to the United States.

So why not just go to Mexico -- it's closer.

I’ve said it before. Read The Camp of the Saints. This book has been around for decades.
Sooner or later the light will come on.

Everybody is treating this guy like some kind of hero but I see an opportunist democrat playing a role that serves Obama and no one else.

He's no hero, what I see him trying to do is move these kids out of the hands of Border Patrol and into the hands of those friendly to the illegals. His don't use taxpayer funds is Bolshevik because that is exactly what mr. mulato and the demonrats have in mind. Once again Domo Arigato mr. mulato.

Is anyone looking into just how all these refugees are making their way here supposedly without a lot of help? This doesn’t smell just right & it seems like it came about rather hurriedly.

There are millions and millions of $ missing from State. I believe we’re paying for these children’s trips.

He increased foreign aid too. Some went for this, some to his communist/muslim agendas, some to his offshore accounts.

all nice and tidy. It leaves the country via foreign aid, they ‘spend it’ and he sends more.

but yes, I think you are also right. He multitasks financially.

“Where are the state rights of the people of TEXAS?”

States Rights? States Rights? This ain't the 19th Century Rita. The states have no rights. Starting with Lincoln right on though obama, what states rights we had in 1860 have have been usurped and nullified.
The only way to change this is to repeal every amendment passed in the 20th Century. Starting with the 16th.

“’I’ve been saying, ‘Use the nonprofits, use the churches don’t just use the taxpayers’ dollars to take care of these young kids,’”

Use a greyhound bus and dump them in the compound of the nearest Mexican Consulate and forbid them to leave. Why in the name of God do we have to be responsible for the children of others?

Great, a Democrat Congress creep forces his way in, but the GOP just meekly sits on their hands. Is there any leadership at all in that party?

Not that long ago an odd thing happened on the border in CA...I think it was at Otey Mesa crossing...many illegals came to cross the border, not all together but they all had the same story. They were all claiming to be in fear of their lives from cartel people, all asking for asylum or refugee status or whatever it is. The short story is they all used the magic words that would allow them to stay and get a hearing to see if they could stay here permanently. They were released with a hearing date about a year away to determine if their story was true and they really were in danger. Obviously they had been coached, and just as obviously they will not show up at their hearing.

The Customs, ICE, Border Patrol or whatever agency it was that dealt with the illegals with the same story were pretty disgruntled and one spoke to a reporter. The government used no resources to find out who coached the illegals and try to figure out how to deal with that issue without just letting them in and releasing them...but I guess there was a major investigation to try to find out who talked to the reporter.

I found this article about those claiming they were in fear to gain entry:

Sure looks organized to me.

It is like saying Jorge Ramos refuses to be kept away from asking the “tough question” on why Boehner and Obama haven’t achieved total amnesty.

If the federal government cannot handle and process the thousands of illegal immigrant children crossing the border everyday, how in the world will it be able to process 20 million illegal immigrants already here if it passes amnesty laws?

Go South? Did you notice that none of the children head south? If they don;'t head south, it means that their goal is obviously to seek the good life in the the United States, and not merely to "escape" violence as many of the children claim.

Follow the children: If a child says he came to find his parents, then check out the parents to see if they are here illegally.

Pass this law: Illegal immigrant children must remain in state that they first enter, like Texas, until they are processed. The children cannot be shipped all over the country like Obama does now. Such a law may finally put pressure on Obama to do something.

Now I read that Obama is flying these immigrants to places like Massachusetts. Aren't Guatemala and Honduras closer to Texas than Massachusetts?

Why not fly them back to Guatemala and Honduras?

If Perry sends in the TEXAS State National Guard, it will show that he stands for TEXAS.
**********************************
The Texas Governor only has complete control of the Texas Rangers and the Texas State Guard (TXSG) and they have been assisting in trying to stem the flow of illegals and drugs on the Texas border.

The Governor cannot activate the National Guard without approval from the Feds.
