Politics: NPR poll of 2014 battleground states is disastrous for Dems
Canada Free Press ^ | June 20 2014 | Robert Laurie

It’s an election season, and the polls are starting to hit with increased frequency. Today, we have a new one from NPR.

Most polls we’ve seen thus far have a national focus. Democrats aren’t doing well, but the data can be an unreliable midterm predictor because it includes a lot of states where there’s nothing in play. NPR decided to cut to the chase and find out what the electoral picture looked like in just 12 senatorial battleground states.

They polled Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and West Virginia.

If Democrats were hoping they’d find a reason to smile, they’re about to be sorely disappointed.

First up was Presidential approval - often a millstone around the neck of an unpopular Commander in Chief’s party and still the number one predictor of midterm results.

Unfortunately, the Dems have probably improved upon their electoral frauds from 2012.

Simple solution: postpone the election, “until such time as the electorate can render a fair decision.”

Lots of undead ghouls ready to vote in Louisiana for sure. Really, we should have banned the Democrat Party along with the Communist Party

We have become a nation of SLOW LEARNERS!

All these polls showing the Dems facing a disaster in Nov should be tempered with the fact the GOP is lame and toothless.

The Dems are masters at vote fraud and are importing millions of ilegal live bodies who will be available if needed. Rat thought process: Elections are too important to leave to the legal electorate. We know better and will take steps to assure an enlightened outcome.

An election results website and prediction generator I’ve found and really like is Dave Leip’s Atlas of U.S. Presidential Elections:

http://uselectionatlas.org/PRED/SENATE/2014/pred.php

He is a little more measured in his approach, showing a net gain of 4 for Republicans and a net loss of 4 for the Dems.

This country is a goner. No election results could possibly turn it around.

It's too bad that NPR did not poll on the immigration issue to determine whether in fact at least for the congressional midterm election the Republicans must accede to amnesty or lose election for losing the Hispanic vote.

Judging from the overall numbers it seems clear that immigration has not gained traction for the Democrats and has not significantly jeopardized Republican chances. It appears that it is only the Republicans who are jeopardizing Republican chances by pushing the issue of immigration.

No good can come of bringing immigration to the floor before this election in November it can only serve to divide the party and remind Hispanics what terrible racists Republicans are. The Republicans are going to win anyway, they do not need the money of the Chamber of Commerce and the rest of the elites so why do they persist with this issue on nearly a daily basis?

Is Obama redistributing the hoard of illegal aliens to the battleground states?

Many of us had this ass clown figured out BEFORE 2008!

How fortunate he was then to run first against a bombastic corpse, and then against a dog-abusing polygamist who ships jobs to India and goes around giving people cancer.

I can’t wait until there is a poll as to whether LIBs/DIMs should be exiled.

Yes, Boehner, McConnell and others are jeopardizing Republican chances.

Makes one wonder what's in it for them.

It does make you wonder if the Sheldon Adelson, Rupert Murdoch, and Mark Suckerberg money is going to Boehner, McConnell, et al. directly (rather than to their campaigns).
