Good plan. I have several AR-15s and several AR-10s, with a couple each under NFA/Class III category, and use both Geissele and Timney, depending upon shooting application.
It’s going to be one of those oh-so-common, “One part per paycheck,” kind of things. My Wife is a Stay-At-Home-Mom, and I must spend accordingly.
Plus, it’ll give me the opportunity to take everything apart, put it back together, take it apart, etc and so-on. I’ll need to learn and hone this skill over time if I am to become proficient with this breed of weaponry.
Two hours and ten minutes until AAR airtime.
I know exactly what you mean. I’ve been working on my small, but specialized ‘collection’ since 2001. Doing them a piece at-a-time, yourself, is often more meaningful when considering the final outcome of the project.
Fourty-Five minutes until AAR Airtime.
I wish I had taken on this sooner. I realize that my pistols are the tools needed to get to my rifles. And, I’m slapping myself in the face for not doing this before other expenditures took precedent.
Always better late than never. Congrats on your project and patience. It’ll be an instant and prized family heriloom, with quite a story behind it; be sure to document all the steps for posterity.
One minute until airtime!
Thank you. It’s a fun thing to do. But, patience is something that I’m good at -no matter how much it hurts..
