One year after being outed as illiterate in the George Zimmerman murder trial, Trayvon Martin's friend Rachel Jeantel is a changed woman after graduating from high school.
Jeantel underwent seven hours of tutoring a day after her reading skills were ridiculed when she testified during the Florida trial last year at age 19. At the time, she had a fourth-grade reading level.
"Very, very, very tough," she told ABC News of the tutoring. "That's what I needed."
With the help of friend and lawyer Rod Vereen, who arranged the tutoring, she hopes to graduate college one day.

“I kept my word to Trayvon that I would do this," Jeantel told CNN, through Vereen.
She also had harsh words for Zimmerman, who was acquitted after he admitted to gunning down Martin in February of 2012.
"To me, you’re not a man," she told CNN. "George Zimmerman’s not a man. That’s still a little boy with a grown body."
In a way I blame myself for not putting a Trayvon Martin Lied song on youtube. Afterall, such an important cultural icon such as Trayvon Martin deserves a song that is worthy of him. /sarc
It just is not fair.
Jeantel is able to move on with her life, get great media attention, go to college and George Zimmerman has been destroyed to the point of being broke and homeless and millions of dollars in debt.
Teasing Trayvon about not being a “man” is what got him killed.
Is anyone glad that she buckled down and attempted to make something of herself? Or is that not allowed in conservative thought?
My good wishes to her. May she have actually changed for the better.
I tend to agree with you. Only time will tell the truth. She comes off like some of the young people in my extended family, I don’t believe a word they say. I wait to see their actions.
Hopefully her makeover includes loosing about 200 pounds.
Knowledge is not the equivalent of wisdom.
She may have been tutored so that she can read somewhat better than previously, but the fact that she still believes Mr. Zimmerman was not a man because he did not allow himself to be killed but rather killed his attacker instead states volumes.
My guess is that she is destined at best to achieve her lofty goal of reading finally how to properly pronounce: "Would you like fries with that?"
Then again, she might sink down even lower and become a screaming liberal democrat politician like Mrs. S. Lee, a race-baiting hustler like Jackson or Sharpton, or even a community organizer like the won (Barky).
Time will tell.
Why are you accepting the narrative?
No doubt she received extensive tutoring paid for by the Left because she was being criticized for promoting the thug black lifestyle and that was making the Left look bad.
Now she can graduate from mopping floors to running the fry machine.

Looks like she has had everything given to her for free including all those hours of tutoring and you can bet she gets a free college scholarship.
That is not the way Conservatives make something of themselves. Conservatives work for what they have and never take handouts from the government.
She is a taker and will likely always be a taker. Not only that, but she has destroyed George Zimmerman and continues her vendetta against George.

You can cure illiteracy, but it seems to be much more difficult to cure endemic stupidity.
