The IDF spends hundreds of millions of dollars and untold thousands of man-hours on high-tech weapons and low-tech methods meant to ensure the absolute minimum of innocent lives lost in a conflict. Advanced visual systems, multiple layers of legal consultation, and even thousands of pamphlets - all designed to keep innocent people alive while targeting the terrorists hiding among them.
But it turns out that the Jewish state could have saved lots of that money and time. Because Hamas and the other terrorists have the most sophisticated, advanced weapons known to man.
Mujahadeen Magical Munitions® are specially designed not to hurt anyone but the enemy. And, judging from the reports coming out of Gaza, they are 100% effective.
I'm reading lots of news stories and tweets from journalists in Gaza, and practically every one states without any qualification that every bullet, mortar round and shell that hurts innocent people comes from the Israeli side.
A few of the journalists noted that the battles in the streets of Gaza have been heated and fierce. Hamas uses mortars, RPGs, anti-tank missiles, AK-47s, booby trapped houses, grenades, and exploding donkeys.
Yet the only victims of Hamas' weapons are Israeli soldiers, if you believe the news reports from journalists embedded in Gaza hospitals looking for the dead child that will bring them their Pulitzer prize.
While highly trained Israeli troops who are doing everything possible to minimize civilian deaths sometimes can't avoid hurting the innocent, Hamas and Islamic Jihad and the other mujahadeen who seemingly have no regard for the lives of their neighbors are really equipped with the most amazing weapons known to man.
These magical weapons must be brand new, because in the first six months of this year I counted over 30 Gazans who were killed by errant rockets and "work accidents" - when there were no active battles. Now, based on reports from journalists whose careers are dependent on their being unbiased and fair, that number has plummeted to zero. Every single casualty is from the Israeli side - Israeli tank shells, Israeli gunships, Israeli airstrikes. Every single one.
It's good that we have such professionals reporting (and editing) the dispatches from Gaza, or else we would be completely unaware of the Mujahadeen Magical Munitions®.
Still, the journalists have not yet talked explicitly about these miraculous weapons. Perhaps you might want to tweet them to ask them to cover this amazing story - maybe they can even volunteer to be shot with one of these remarkable mujahid RPGs that never kill the innocent.
Guaranteed, they would become famous.
How do you differentiate between IRAN’s constant refrain of attacks against the Little Satan (Israel) and Big Satan (USofA) and the media’s constant deprecation of the same? What value is the “Moral High Ground” when it is used as a club to beat these countries for media-perceived lapses? Yes the media plays favorites and their meme is that victimhood is trumps terrorism!
After all, when all is said and done, Russia has INVADED a neighbor country, broken a solemn treaty of nonaggression, annexed Crimea by force, sent thinly disguised covert troops and weapons into eastern Ukraine, and, as a cherry-on-top, the same shoot down a passenger airliner WITH no real lasting consequence! Czar Vlad I has taken his KGB-trained stone-face and just keeps plugging away at restoring the Russian Empire and influence. Media condemnation factor for this kind of action is the equivalent of watching the monster in a horror film, shivers of appreciation at such a good performance!
I’ll tell ya about ‘magical munitions’. If I’m a member of the IDF I’m buying some bacon from somewhere and rubbing it on the business end of every bullet.
And then I’d put out flyers about it so the terrorists know if they get hit, they aren’t going to a martyr’s heaven with 72 virgins, but to hell.
Harsh? Maybe so, but I’m getting damn tired of a bunch of terrorists who are fanatical adherents to a religion that contains so much benighted bull.... and is in a state of war against every other religion in the world.
Time they got a taste of reverse magic.
I think it was used by the British in Sudan in the late 19th century. Then and there it worked. However, according to this story from 2002 (Daily Telgraph) it may not have the same effect any longer (but who knows, well worth a try!):
Settlers use pigskin to foil the martyrs

JEWISH settlers have come up with a new way to deter Palestinian suicide bombers - wrapping their corpses in pigskin to deprive them of the fruits of paradise.
The settlers believe that contact with a pig, an unclean animal for Muslims and Jews, will rob the bomber of the reward of martyrdom, traditionally said to be 72 virgins.
Settlers at Gush Katif, in the Gaza Strip, were the first to claim to have defiled the body of a dead Palestinian with “pigskin and lard”. Residents of Efrat, a Jewish settlement near Bethlehem, said they did the same to a Palestinian building worker who tried to blow up their supermarket on Friday, but was shot dead before most of the explosives detonated.
Shlomo Riskin, chief rabbi of Efrat, defended the practice: “If burial in pigskin will deter suicide bombers, then it is incumbent on us to do this. We should do anything to save life.”
There has been no photographic evidence of daubing with lard and no one has come forward as the supplier of the pork, leading some to suspect that the settlers are trying to scare off future suicide bombers, who are mainly impressionable young men.
But the rabbi said: “I truly believe it happened. The pigskin was supplied by someone with a good sense of initiative. The body was lying by the supermarket for three to four hours. There was plenty of time.”
Pork is considered an abomination by observant Jews, but is produced at one kibbutz and enjoyed by secular Israelis.
Palestinian Muslims reacted with scorn to the idea, saying the soul went to paradise and was unaffected by any taint to the body.
“The keys to heaven are not in the hands of settlers,” said Sheikh Hassan Youssef, for Hamas, whose military wing has sent dozens of suicide bombers into Israel.
Islamic reference books say the body of a martyr who dies for the faith is so pure that it does not need to be washed before burial, in contrast to the usual Muslim practice.
The Great Sepoy Mutiny in India was triggered by the rumor that the new British cartridges were covered in pork lard by the ammo maker in England.
The Muslim troops were enticed to mutiny and killed a lot of the English until order was restored. You’ve probably heard of the phrase “The black hole” as a terrible penal place. It is short for the “black hole of Calcutta’ which was an unspeakable dungeon where English prisoners were thrown.
