MANHATTAN — American flags were removed from atop the Brooklyn Bridge's two towers Tuesday morning and replaced by white flags, sources said.
Police, including the NYPD's counter terrorism and intelligence divisions, were checking surveillance footage from the bridge after images of the white flags hit social media about 7 a.m., sources said.
"Why are there white flags on top of the Brooklyn Bridge?" City Council member Mark Weprin tweeted at 9:34 a.m.
It was not immediately clear how the white flags, which are usually a military symbol for surrender, got there.
Witnesses reported seeing NYPD counter terrorism officers heading up the stairs to the bridge about 9:30 a.m.
But people were still allowed to walk across the bridge even as the police presence increased.
The Department of Transportation, which oversees the bridge, referred press inquiries to the NYPD, which did not have additional information.
My concern: how was someone able to switch the flags on top of one of the most popular bridges in the country...without being seen?
I believe these flags were meant for that monstrosity that replaced the Twin Towers….you know, the clinton memorial.
Black Flag would exterminate all their politicians and most of their voters.

theories:
1. Maybe it was the police/bridge security. They are patriots and they have finally had enough.
2. Bleach in the flags when cleaning. Extreme sunlight resulted in immediate reaction. Need to see surveliance video from late yesterday to see if any fading had started.
3.God’s way to get our attention. With events in Gaza, Ukraine and here at home perhaps a trigger event is set to begin. Remember the Blood Moon prophecies. We are right at the halfway point of till the next one. Perfect timing for this warning. Like Christ washed our sins away with his blood, God has washed the red (symbolic blood) out of the flag and made it pure - once last reminder of redemption for the nation before ????
I’m wondering if someone wanted to make a point that security is lacking on the bridge?
Or were the flags put there to divert attention?
Or could the U.S. flags have become that whitewashed from the sun?
ISIS said they intended to attack New York.
Maybe it’s ISIS giving notice, surrender or die.
That’s unfortunately becoming all too true these days ... At least the French appear to be pushing back against the rampant anti-Semitism erupting in their cities; while we take pains to excuse Hamas for their provocations in Gaza.

NYC officials are always bragging how “up” they are to defend against terrorists. It appears that DeBlasio, Bratton and NYPD have a lot of work to do considering someone climbed to the top of the Brooklyn Bridge, removed /replaced a flag undetected. Same goes for a couple of months ago when a few guys climbed to the top of the WTC and sky dived into the street undetected. NYC is still a sitting duck.

Maybe the white flags were meant as a signal to someone somewhere that something was in place and READY.

My wife told me Fox news reported that the flags were actually bleached, not replaced.
I live in NYC, and, on the 4th of July, some white guy was caught on video stealing large American flags from in front of people’s houses in Brooklyn. The guy looked like a typical leftist. I’m 99% certain that this is related. I don’t know if they ever caught the guy, but he was most likely part of some group, and so others from the group might have done this.
