Watchdog.org, a self-described “collection of independent journalists covering state-specific and local government activity” is fuming mad over the state of the Veterans Administration hospital at Shreveport Louisiana.
Watchdog is reporting that the facility experiences shortages of clean linens and toiletries at the same time its administrators are spending our tax money on non-essential items.
The American Legion’s National Commander said his organization will provide $5,000 worth of supplies to the VA for use in the Shreveport facility. He said, “If more is needed, more will be provided. While the American Legion family is more than happy to provide this assistance, it is very disturbing that such help is needed.”
Watchdog’s report detailed the shortage of sheets, blankets and even pajamas because such items must be brought in from a warehouse over 100 miles away. Volunteer workers at the facility told investigators that toothpaste deodorants and other personal hygiene items are being supplied by them when supplies run out. Worse still it is not uncommon for patients to be treated using tattered and unsanitary linens.
While the hospital does not deny that linens are often in short supply, its spokesperson insists the laundry is clean and inspected. Whom to believe?

Wait a minute. Didn’t Congress just pass a multi-billion dollar bill for additional funding for the VA? And the American Legion has to pay for linens in a VA Hospital? What in the hell is going on? Is the VA budget just being funneled to the Democrat Party?
The plethora of scandals associated with the current administration is such that everything gets lost in the shuffle, just when you think one scandal may get sorted out, several other scandals arise to diminish any resolution.
That is how a communist progressive democrat government functions though, is it not?
no accountability, kind of like the billions that went missing in Iraq and Afghanistan.
