A Michigan toddler has died of enterovirus D68, another reminder of the deadly potential of a disease that has infected hundreds nationwide in two months.
Madeline Reid died at Children's Hospital of Michigan, where she had been transferred "for advanced services," according to the Detroit hospital's chief medical officer, Dr. Rudolph Valentini.
"The CDC confirmed EV-D68 after her arrival here, and she subsequently succumbed to her illness," Valentini said.
A Facebook page, dubbed "Team Maddie!," devoted to the 21-month-old's plight also confirmed the sad news.
"Madeline Reid became our angel at 2:55 p.m. (Friday)," read one post. "She passed peacefully in her mother and father's arms."(continued)

military casualties to discredit GWB. Have they started a casualty list yet for for the costs of doing the war over again or a D68 kill-a-kid tally related to obama immigration executive orders?

CDC has zero credibility for Ebola if thety can’t track where this virus is from and how it is spreading, yet I haven’t seen Frieden asked about it while he’s pontificating about how to control the spread of Ebola.
And hardly a word is said even about the deaths, let alone where the virus came from.
Polio like flu that our children have no antibodies for.
I wonder what misinformation they are goine to spew about this? How long can they keep it under wraps? When do we take to the streets about this and other things like the blacks have in Ferguson? These injustices are real.
Both are brought by illegals and assisted by obola. Try that.
This country is LOST when child-killing diseases that were allowed to enter this country by a President who believes in open borders has been politicized by the White House and the Media to the point that they refuse to cover it.
They’ll look for somebody who is about to retire, blame him, and accept his resignation three days before his retirement. Then he’ll never be heard from again.
