In Puerto Rico, we’ve had voter ID since the 1980s. It’s given FOR FREE to anyone over 18 who can produce a birth certificate and a utility bill, or a school registration document. ISSUED AT NO COST TO THE APPLICANT. Argument ended from inception.

Most states offer a free ID card. Arguments to counter that in the past include that it’s to much of a hardship to go get the ID.

Well, just pick it up on your way to collect your welfare benefits.

That’s probably as it should be, though of course Dem operatives claim that it’s too burdensome for those without birth certificates to retrieve them from their place of birth.

In TN we gave those who could not afford an ID a free one so they could vote..

though few people would not have one...
