Salute her honesty. Today, celebrity is as close to heroism as most people know.

President Obama, J.K. Rowling and Oprah. It seems fitting that Obama is thought of in the same terms as JK Rowling and Oafrah.

J.K. Rowling and Oprah might have fans, but in no way are Rowling and Oprah “heroes.” One is a writer of juvenile fiction, the other is a daytime talk show host.

If this is a charter school, is there a board of directors to whom parents could express their views and recommend a new inclusive process with parent involvement to select murals?

They had to throw in Maya Angelou. If not, Obama would be the only millionaire in this list of billionaires. He only edges out Angelou by a 2.2 million to avoid being last on the list. Here’s the net worth of those now on the mural;
Steve Jobs (d) - 8.3 billion
Walt Disney (d) - 5 billion
Oprah - 2.9 billion
J.K. Rowling - 1 billion
President Obama - 12.2 million
Maya Angelou (d) - 10 million
