I never saw any violence or threats - just the flat out attitude of “Shut up and pay your dues”.
Sort of like - “Shut up and vote for the GOPe candidate.

OUTLAW WITHHOLDING OF UNION DUES FROM WORKERS PAYCHECKS

THROW OUT ALL REGISTRATIONS, NEW NATIONAL VOTER ID CARD REQUIRED TO VOTE.
INVESTIGATE , INDICT, AND IMPRISON ALL MARXIST CROOKS IN THE CONGRESSIONAL PROGRESSIVE CAUCUS AND THE AFL-CIO.

My experience was with two goons, no Suits. I was a skinny teenager, not even 5’ 6”, and I had no chance against them. I did not want them to “break both of your arms” as they threatened, so I quit the job immediately. They were the thugs who inspired me to learn to fight and to shoot, taking both seriously. They also left me hating evil with a passion I would not feel if I had not personally encountered union activists doing what unions do best.
There was a construction site on the road I take to get to work. There were building a parking structure for a mall. The steel workers would park their cars in a lot across the busy street (Victory Blvd & Canoga with Topanga Blvd on the other end in the San Fernando valley) and instead of using the crosswalks they would stride en mass across the road bringing hundreds of cars to a standstill. They did this day after day until the the job was done.
Naturally no police anywhere near the site to enforce you know the law!
