See needs to look into a new career, perhaps the hospitality business: strip the sheets, grab the towels, replace same, make sure that you put the chocolate centered on the pillow.

Nah, probably more than she can handle.

Cosmetology might be a better vocational objective.

You want a crazy, emotionally frail person working around chemicals and electrical devices that can burn you? I was thinking maybe bookstore, or ice cream shop, but then I worry about being blinded by sprinkles being flung at me in a heated rage because I asked for two scoops.

This is likely an ADA accommodation situation. Her anxiety was probably classed as a disability so she was able to request and get the extra time and an exam room away from the other students taking the exam. I have had students who have requested various accommodations and it is usually never a problem. In this case she expected the answers to be handed to her, spoon-fed.

I have had one student who did not fall under ADA but who failed a graduate course twice and demanded in the last attempt that she be given credit for the late assignments she turned in...a week after the course ended. The entitlement mentality that some students bring to their studies is more than astounding at times. Unfortunately for my student I would not buy into her premise.

Waaah!!!!! Several decades ago I tried out for the Green Bay Packers because I wanted to be the QB and make millions of dollars a year. I could only move half as fast and throw the ball half as hard as Brett Favre. So they cut me after the first tryout. Five minutes into the tryout.

Waaaaah!!! I'm experiencing severe distress and pain from failing to make the team. Waaaaa!!! I demand somebody pay me for my emotional distress. A million dollars will do nicely. Waaaah!!!

I haven’t taken a college course in quite some time.... But I never recalled being able to call the professor for help during the exam... Is this something new?

If it's been a long time for you, as it has for me, might the difference be that students all have cell phones now?

As far as her thinking it was OK to call the prof during the exam... I don't get that at all, it must be a "millennial" thing.

If you can’t hack it as a nurse, change your major. There’s a reason colleges offer “Communications” as an academic study. And if you can’t keep up with brain-damaged football players, there’s always elementary education.

True story... back when my father was in engineering school there was a particularly "difficult" affirmative action female in the calculus 2 lecture hall, that kept interrupting the professor, demanding to know "Why we have to learn this". The professor stopped his lecture, entertained the young lady, and responded with a practical engineering example of the lecture topic being used.

This wasn't "good enough"... The girl just wanted to be difficult for the sake of being difficult, common behavior found in old-school feminists and modern millennial females.

The professor remained calm, and offered the class a different practical example, and worked out a solution on the chalkboard.

The girl interrupted the lecture a THIRD TIME, complaining that she saw no benefit in covering the mathematical operation/theory being discussed. The professor, who was at the chalkboard with his back to the lecture hall, stopped, set the chalk down at the bottom of the board, slowly turned around, and addressed the entire lecture hall.

"A few of you will grasp these concepts, move forward in your studies, graduate with bachelor degree in your chosen engineering discipline, and go forth into industry to become the designers, the makers, the producers and the drivers of our nation as Professional Engineers. Some of you, however, may want to consider that they would better serve society by MARRYING a Professional Engineer.

The lecture hall ERUPTED with laughter, the little twat, completely humiliated, put on a air of being offended, made a few snarky comments as she got up, and left the Hall in a huff.

I imagine if a college professor were to say something so absolutely SPOT ON these days, he would be fired.

LOL! Pretty funny.

I had a Geology professor who always started the first day of class by saying “you are invited to attend the class, you are invited to read the material and you are invited to take the tests”

suffers from anxiety, depression, and poor concentration

All the qualities one wants in a nurse.

Hey, I am just fine with her being on a nursing staff........for the Obama's, Clinton's, Reid's, Pelosi's, etc.

This wannabe nurse is the expected result of an education system where “self esteem” is a system concern.

This student/litigant is little more than a walking, talking blond joke, unable to pass a simple nutrition course.

Hello! She sued over a simple course, not a course in differential equations, not even a calculus course.

Blond, dumb and litigious is no way to go through life.

I’m not allowed to. I still have to spread out during exams. But I’m not a nursing student, so maybe they allow that?

It’s just really upsetting how culture has “empowered” a victim class, and almost all reward based on merit or performance has been removed. It’s Idiocracy every day anymore.

“Here is a dime, call your mother, and tell her there is serious doubt about you ever becoming a nurse.”

Nice paraphrase of the Kingsfield line in The Paper Chase

I'm not quite half way through law school and have lost perhaps 2/3 of my cohort.

The course is Functional Health Patterns of Adults IV

This makes me wonder how she passed I, II, and III.
