The Novus Agony is a liturgical low rent ritual but it is STILL a Mass: Offertory, Consecration and Priest's Communion. In my Diocese we have a Tridentine ONLY Oratory approved by our bishops with daily Tridentine Mass and the works.
I refuse to believe that a College of Cardinals, each and every one of whom was appointed by Saint John Paul II or Benedict XVI could make such a monstrous mistake as electing Chatty Cathy, much less repeating that mistake with someone like Honduran Cardinal Madariaga. I stand by each and every word of my prior post.

Offertory,
there is no longer the ritual known as Offeratory...replaced ny procession of the ‘gifts’...
Priest’s Communion.
you’re lucky if you can receive from a priest, as opposed to the hordes of laity...

Fine, I wasn’t contesting anything you said...just blowing off steam...

At my Church in Rockford, IL, we have a Tridentine Mass and only a Tridentine Mass. The Eucharist is distributed ONLY by the pastor or a priest approved by him and by the Institute of Christ the King. No distribution by deacons much less by "Eucharistic Mistresses." It is the PRIEST'S Communion that is an essential part of the Mass. Likewise the Offertory and the Consecration. If any of these three essentials are missing find a more traditional Church. Our St. Mary's Oratory in Rockford sill has a bit of room in the pews for new recruits. Come on out!
The pastor is a superb preacher as well. There is a big get together over coffee and donuts in the Church hall after each Sunday Mass. There is also a great and quite traditional choir (Mozart, Palestrina etc., etc., etc.). We moved here from Connecticut 15 years ago because of the bishop (then Thomas Doran), the pastor and the Oratory.
So, if you were just blowing off steam, we are actually on the same side and we in Rockford are fortunate to be here. Come and join us. God bless you and yours!

I believe it will be much less than that. When he turns 80 which is less than two years. He says his time will be a short one as Pope.
