I can think of many ways to describe our relationship with Israel. Bipartisan is not one of them, although that is what Susan Ricethat paragon of veracity and honortold Charlie Rose. However, because Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to Congress at the invitation of House Speaker John Boehner, it has become a very partisan affair and, according to Rice, there would be repercussions.
On its face this is a laughable statement coming from someone who knows better. Rices boss, the White House Mullah Obama, has directed her to denigrate Israel at every opportunity and in every possible way. Obamas refusal to support Israel may mean the eventual destruction of our long-time ally. Such has been the agenda of Obama and much of the America/Israel hating world.
During the Clinton reign, Israels Shimon Peres discussed moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, thereby solidifying the claim of Jerusalem as the Israeli capital. The idea was put to a halt by National Security adviser Sandy Berger because it had originally been a Republican idea. No partisanship there. Peres didnt win, in large part because Bibi Netayahu could not see Yasser Arafat as a partner for peace.
Bibi would be proven right, as the Camp David accordsthe best deal the Palestinians could ever hope forwas turned down. The Al Aqsa intifada began, resulting in massive loss of life on both sides and no progress in the so called two state solution. “Jihad” is the correct word.
It is not analogy.
It is not hyperbole.
It is the correct word.
Anti-semitism was one of the indelible hallmarks of the National Socialist German Workingmen’s Party (commonly shortened to “Nazi”) in the twelve years of the Third Reich of Germany, an empire that was to last a thousand years.
Now, since Adolf Hitler made a few tactical errors, the ball has to be picked up and advanced down the field by a somewhat different player, the Current Regime that has taken over the territory of the nation formerly known as “the United States of America”.
Oh, the Current Regime will claim they are somehow “different” from the Nazis of Germany, but the same impulses, the same objectives, and the same wedge issues are all being brought into play, as they were in Germany during the period between the First and Second World Wars.
The stage is being set for a wider conflict throughout the world, and none dare call the Current Regime out on their rush to Armageddon. It is a conflict for which we shall be woefully unprepared to meet the challenges it shall present, both in logistics, and capability to carry on the conflict. To say nothing of the hopeless chaos to be left in its wake.
I see it as making the transition from Republic to Empire. Unlike the transition that Rome made, we are dismantling our military in the process. The Empire will be short lived.
