For the first time this year, Donald Trump tops a state poll of GOP presidential candidates in Florida.

A St. Pete Polls survey released on Wednesday shows the New York businessman with 26 percent support, with Jeb Bush in second place with 20 percent.

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is in third place with 12 percent, and Marco Rubio is in fourth place with 10 percent. He’s followed by Dr. Ben Carson at 5 percent, Ted Cruz and John Kasich at 4 percent, and Rand Paul at 3 percent. 16 percent are unsure or are supporting another candidate not named in the survey.

I live in Florida. Don’t know anyone who thinks Jeb is a good choice. It’s a combination of “not another Bush” and “remember Terry Schiavo”.

Youtube video on DC Whispers page. Warning, strong language but VERY funny - and underscores the support he is getting across demographics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhQfUiDhjQg&feature=share

make you wonder how out of touch the GOP-e must be to think they can successfully foist him on us.

The GOP-e takes its voters for granted, just as much as the Dem-e takes theirs.

Like Ted Cruz said, they don't care about or represent the interests of the American people. They represent the elites, and only throw us cookies and donuts at election time to get our votes. They're the Washington Cartel - the Uniparty.

THIS is why Donald Trump has commandeered the entire election from both sides. He hears the people, and is speaking for them.

Pandering losers like Jeb don't stand a chance against a force of nature like that.

Food for Thought...Excellent read on WHY TRUMP IS LEADING AND NEEDS TO BE ELECTED!!
F YOU DON’T READ ANYTHING ELSE I’VE POSTED, PLEASE — PLEASE — PLEASE READ AND SHARE THIS!!
Trump wrote “Time to Get Tough” back in 2008 outlining his cogent, rational and AMERICA FIRST BASED plan for making us great again. It’s available on Amazon and other outlets. THIS EMAIL CONTAINS A CLIFF NOTES VERSION OF HIS PLAN! Please read it!

Agreed, which is why I said the other day that if Trump goes third party and it’s a three way between him and Jeb and Hilary, it would not surprise me if Trump won with as many votes as Jeb and Hilary combined.

Thanks for posting that methodology and breakdown. Some analysis:

The unweighted averages are approximately the same as the weighted, so this adds more credence to the poll.

The age demographic breakdown is startling: of all age groups (except 18-29) Trump is the clear winner, with the bracket of 50-69 giving his most commanding lead over Bush of a whole ten percentage points. Also, surprisingly, Bush actually leads Trump in the 18-29 demographic. One would think Paul would appeal to that demographic but I guess it is Florida so Bush probably has simply more name recognition there. But that doesn’t fully explain why Trump isn’t ahead of him in that age group. Bottom line it seems the younger crowd really does NOT like Trump for whatever reason, which is surprising to me.

This was a poll conducted through mass email recruiting. So I’m not sure how reliable that would be (although it’s arguable to say it just as reliable as mass cold calls to land lines.).

At any rate the results for the youngest group doesn’t follow the rest of the group’s so I’m not sure how statistically significant those results would be.

Anyway interesting poll to be sure! Thanks for posting.

I want to see the GOPe, The CoC, the Bushies, the “Jeb News Channel” and its “All Jeb Panel,” Megyn Kelly/McCain, and the Northeast GayMedia choke on Donald Trump.

I saw that video two nights ago and laughed my head off. If Trump's crossover appeal ranges all the way to sistas in the hood, he's gonna stomp the whole field.

I was told by a Freeper that, a week ago, you could buy Trump's book for just two dollars. A few days ago, the price had jumped to $50.

It later settled down to $30 a copy, but that's an indicator of how strongly Trump's message is resonating with the American people.

My gut is telling me the same thing. This guy has unleashed a tsunami of pro-American fervor like nothing we've seen since Reagan.
