I disagree, but I see where you're coming from. It's not liberal populism that must happen - it's perhaps a non Constitutional use of executive orders to undo a whole slew of un Constitutional executive orders - but embracing liberalism economically because it feels good on the surface in the short term is never the right answer. Liberal populist economics ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS leads to rampant cronyism and oligarchs.
Its funny watching all the flailing around to try to take Trump out. Especially when its all backfiring. All they’re doing is making Trumps points for him. It couldn’t be more helpful to him if he paid for it himself.
Boehner & McConnell are funded by the same people that fund the puppet candidates.
Wrong.
The first and foremost opponents of Conservatism we have to defeat are the RINOs / GOPe in the people of Boner, McTurtle, Paul Gigot, and the Bushes.
THOSE are the people that staunchly and effectively oppose the implementation of conservative ideas.
Until they are defeated, the Libs will join with them and always defeat conservatives.
Take the blinders off. KARL ROVE is the enemy.
Trump is not running against Bonehead and Mr. Magoo. He is running against a slew of other gop candidates, right now. First order of business in a primary is take out you party opposition. After that, move on to the other party’s candidate. MaGoo is not up for reelection either. Bonehead is but that is a matter for his brain dead district.
“At this point, I think hes only feeding her victimhood.”
Perhaps, but it’s not hurting his numbers, and there are a couple alleged freepers here who are all worried about the poor “conservative Christian woman” they whine that he is abusing that still don’t seem to get it, or have simply infiltrated FR like all the others lately.
Anyone see the bimbo’s numbers as compared to before her ho-hum just another vacation in August?
We can be pro-conservative, anti-RINO, anti-populist all at the same time.
I’m all in for Cruz.
However, if there is to be a choice between RINO (Bush/Christie et al) and populist (Trump), I’ll take the latter.
The GOPe / RINO caucus needs to be defeated first. We have to first fight our way through them to get at the libs. RINOs are the preeminent defenders of liberalism; they have defended 0bamacare, Amnesty, spending, high taxes, etc. against all conservative attacks.
I don’t like Trump. But I may be forced to vote for him to ensure the demise of the preeminent defenders of the Uniparty: RINOs.
My point is that Trump has a targeting strategy. He’s got this. Its been carefully planned apparently and its being carefully coordinated. Evidently he’s hired the best people for the job without regard to race or sexual preference..... Probably not the case with Jeb....
Yes!
McConnell isn’t going anywhere as he was just re-elected. He may not remain as majority leader ( but it is likely he will), Bohener on the other hand is vulnerable in re-election and his speakership is dicey.
Yes Trump should speak about them, and he does in a more collective method. I am not sure calling out the majority leader and the speaker directly is in the interests of his campaign in a tactical sense.
It sort of like telling off someone. It may feel good at the moment but what are the long term benefits... If any.
Do I really need a sarc tag?
. . . and it was the clueless tag that went without saying.
I think she lost a lot of cred with her grandstanding.
Its the Primary—He must attack and defend himself from his rivals. Its the way the system works. Then, he can tackle Biden/Warren. After that he can target the House and Senate leadership (or non-leadership). One goal at a time.
Re Donald and “The Megan”: I watched Megan on TV at the gym last night, mostly because it was the only thing on other than sports, sports, sports channels. Do you notice when she mentions Trump her whole face/personality changes. Ugly. She’s a grudge holder...she’s been damaged by the so called “debates” and she can’t hide her fury.
Me, too, Miltie. Don’t love his style, but love his message.
While the upcoming CR to defend PP is important, so is the vote on the Iran deal. I said on July 16, and Mark Levin finally said last night, that McConnell should walk away from the Corker Bill and declare that the Senate will act alone on the deal as a treaty, especially now that Obama has already violated the terms of the Corker Bill several times.
Trump could use the upcoming debate to talk about the Iran deal and pressure McConnell to take back control of the issue and make Obama get two-thirds of the Senate to ratify instead of making McConnell get one-third plus one to block it. Levin said that McConnell won't do it, but maybe Trump could turn up the heat on the discussion and pressure McConnell into taking action, or to force McConnell to show once again why the weak excuse for leadership in Washington must be replaced by someone willing to take bold action to protect the country.
If McConnell won't then act to stop a nuclear Iran, what will it take to get him to do anything else in the national interest?
