Can’t let the teacher’s union suffer. Time to put the screws to the charter/private/home-schooling options

Seems like it is all about continued state and federal ‘revenue’. Pesky things like funding being applied to enrollment miss the mark on their twisted bureaucracies that have come to put its continued unabated existence above all else. Fire some damn people.

For nine consecutive years, the district has spent more than it takes in,

On what?

That is the inconvenient question nobody wants to address.

The answer is pensions, benefits, and Union dues.

Lets see. You add to the student bodies over a million destitute immigrants who don’t speak English to student bodies over the past three years. Somehow the averages on standardized tests decline. Wonder why?

Seems like you could hire private tutors for less money.

These bum “educators” have tons of money to play with “for the children”. Homeschoolers, people without kids and any property owners are forced to fund these government schools (indoctrination camps). If these degenerates can’t produce with the money they have...fire them.

Proposal A was voted in because people were losing their homes because of excess taxes. Now because it works it has to go.

A lot of people around Traverse City were forced out of their homes because the value went up and so the taxes became to much to pay. People who had been in their houses for decades.

I have no pity for these fools. Maybe enrollment would not go down if you actually taught some thing of value. And bounce the trouble makers out so the kids left behind can actually learn something.

I had to pull my kids out of public school and home school because the teaching was terrible. And guess what? My daughter is taking classes at 17 with kids who are in there second year of college. This is her first semester. Funny the classes she is taking were the same first year classes that were taught 25 years ago. That is how bad public schools have become. You now have to take a full year to get caught up to classes from 25 years ago.

Cry me a river.
