There was an episode of Boondocks where Bob Ross got into a Police chase and shootout.

I always liked watching this show as a kid. Bob Ross was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. As the story goes, he yelled so much as a sergeant that he vowed to never yell again after discharge. Maybe that's why he talked so mildly in those TV shows.

He knew that he had to yell or the guys under him wouldn’t live long enough to see the beauty of the world that was in his heart.

Now that I think of it, I always loved his precursor, William Alexander, too. My parents got me an oil painting kit with his name on it and I mangled some canvases with it back in seventh grade. It is NOT as easy to work with oils as they make it look, lol!

I believe those episodes were all recorded at Ball State University, alma mater of David Letterman. Ross was apparently a great guy who ultimately succumbed to cancer.
