No, there was a practical reason, namely for some functions that checked the OS version some programmers were detecting Windows 95/98 by checking only for the “9”.

My guess is when they were searching for help with their foundation they found the Clinton people very helpful and learned to rely on their thinking.

I have a friend who knows Melinda and her family real well. The parents are not thrilled, to say the least.
Outside of the computer and electronics field, Gates should stay away from making crackpot endorsements of junk science. It just demonstrates how abysmally stupid he is.
One can indeed have billions and still appear as a blithering idiot when he steps outside his realm of expertise.
