I wonder if the Post would publish a story mocking a Native American shaman who claimed to get answers to problems or to heal illness via spirit communication? I very much doubt it.

I won't question how God answered anyone's prayers. However, you have a point about all of these claims to events that no one else remembers. Everyone of a certain age in large cities remembers where they were during the MLK riots. Surely one of the white people he saved would be getting their 15 minutes by now. Yale archives everything. So surely someone could find that "honest" student pic by now.

Carson's father was a bigamist who abandoned him and his mother struggled with depression that required hospital stays. He is a man who accomplished more than anyone could imagine. But there's something off about him. And he is in no way qualified to be potus.

It's considered offensive to question Obama's Christianity, so why doesn't the press every ask him questions like:

1. Do you believe in the power of prayer?

2. Do you - like Jesus - believe in the existence of demons?

3. Do you believe that Jesus was God incarnate?

4. Do you believe that Jesus rose from the dead and ascended to heaven?

5. Do you believe that Jesus sent the Holy Spirit, and that the Holy Spirit is active in people's lives today?

6. Or (to Biden): As a Catholic, do believe in the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist? Do you believe in papal infallibility?

And so forth. Liberals are NEVER asked pressing questions about their faith, NEVER put on the spot; their faith is accepted as something that will make them saleable to an ignorant segment of the public, with a lot of nodding and winking going on between the liberal politicians and the press, i.e., "We all know you really don't believe any of that crap; this is just marketing."

Hardly anyone remembered Obama, either, and his college years are almost a blank slate. And many of the stories in his bio have been disputed. But the press never turned that into Obama being a liar or a weirdo.

Exactly. Taken in total this doesn’t pass the smell test.

I am not anti-faith either. I am however anti hiding a pile of bs behind faith.

In my college years, I was part of the anti-Vietnam War movement, and once made a brief speech to a crowd of people at my university. I would wager that no one remembers it, and there probably aren't more than a dozen or so students who remember me at all.

The thought just occurred to me, if the GOPe-Bush-Rubio-Kasisch-RINO-Hillary crowd wanted to "coerce-shame" the Republican Conservative candidates (Ted, Cruz, Donald Trump) ...

to support:

1) Citizenship for 15 million illegal Mexican immigrants

2) Soft on Second Amendment gun rights

3) Becoming "best friends" with Al Sharpton and the Black Lives Matter movement

4) Puerto Rico statehood (two automatic Democratic Senators for the next 100 years)

5) SPLIT the Tea Party Christian Evangelical vote 35/35/35 between Ted Cruz / Huckabee / Ben Carson

6) "Stealth Engagement" of the Democratic Party LGBT folks to "severely disrupt" the GOP Presidential Primaries to HELP Yeb Bush and Marco Rubio


... what better way than to "plant-fund" and inflate polling data for a WONDERFUL ...

(no criticism allowed) Black Medical Doctor (with a very big ego) ?



Would such a plan even be imagined ? "Nope"

Would such a plan even be planned and executed ? "Nope"

Would such a plan include a Hollywood Movie ("Gifted Hands") promoting (years in advance) the "compassionate Savior" of the Republican Party ? "Nope"
