Fearing a civil liberties backlash and “bad public relations†for the Obama administration, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson refused in early 2014 to end a secret U.S. policy that prohibited immigration officials from reviewing the social media messages of all foreign citizens applying for U.S. visas, a former senior department official said.
“During that time period immigration officials were not allowed to use or review social media as part of the screening process,†John Cohen, a former acting under-secretary at DHS for intelligence and analysis. Cohen is now a national security consultant for ABC News.
Much like the corrupt Clintons. Internal political considerations trump any concern for the country or individual citizens.
Even mid-ranked colleges check social media as one criteria of admission. Apparently, who gets into the United States just doesn’t matter as much.
Most new employers check social media but getting in the country? Not so much.

My Polish girlfriend had to go through six month of loops to get a visa just to visit for a few weeks.
My legally immigrant friends have gone through years and years of headaches just to stay here.
South of the border hordes just walk across and get a full government welcome. Muslims get a free flight.
