Pat Caddell: Country Closer to Revolution Than Ever
Breitbart ^ | Dec. 17, 2015 | Dan Riehl

Veteran pollster Pat Caddell says he agrees with the premise that America today is closer to another revolution than at any time in recent history, adding, "The strength of this country comes from its people and it has a political system that is run, now, to the exclusion of its people - you have three quarters of the American people saying the government in Washington does not rule with the consent of the governed."

Caddell told Breitbart News Daily host Stephen K. Bannon that the current $1.1 trillion 2,000-plus page omnibus bill is "the greatest disaster anyone ever saw because of the deals being cut."

Caddell cited elements of the bill that are still being discovered, such as the upping of the number of foreign visas. Caddell was referring to a provision that was outrageously

Caddell also blasted the GOP saying, "They think their base is stupid."

Yes they do.

‘’When the SHTF, these slime will try to escape.’’

If they’re going to other countries, let ‘em escape, and good riddance.

Getting rid of Ryan would help but we need to occupy 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. again.

I agree with Pat.

When the government "of the people" doesn't need the people, it's time to make some major changes.

I've been in business my entire life and if I ever put together business proposals that were 2,000 pages - or 200 pages - or 20 pages - I'd be on the soup lines right now.

If you can't distill what you need to say in a few pages or less, you are dead in the business world. That's why we need Trump. He comes from the business world and he keeps things plain and simple.

Check out his position papers on his website. They are crisp, clean and to the point. No overwrought legalese boilerplate strung together by a hundred public servants on the taxpayer dime. Any literate American can easily understand them.

It was the same with Obamacare and many other pieces of legislation. Thousands of pages that nobody bothered to read. In fact that nobody COULD read.

I don’t think the battle or ideological lines are drawn very clearly yet for this so-called Revolution.

the USA can still keep the status quo afloat with gobs of debt and printed, unbacked Federal Reserve notes, which the rest of the world still has to accept.

The GOPee no longer has a base. They have lost it through their own inaction and explicit hate.

Yeah that was kind of weird. Perhaps he thinks they will re-enter afterwards and try to take over?

Why is there not a recall election for Ryan? He obviously played his constituents for fools to get elected. Recall his arse.

“... you have three quarters of the American people saying the government in Washington does not rule with the consent of the governed.”

He is still wrong here: Americans are not “ruled”. We are supposed to be governed.

The Constitution should be the model for any truly needed legislation.

We have plenty-o-laws. Anything added should require a 2x reduction in what is already on the books.

Ain’t gonna happen. This would require far too much sacrifice - sacrifice modern Americans are unwilling to make - because we are somehow better and have more to lose than the Founders.

You make a good point.

Perhaps a Revolution at the ballot box, like in 1980.

No, no, no....we must capture them and do N terrible things to them (where N is a very very large number). We will then wrap the remains, take bodacious Obamas on them, and ship them into the sun.

Nailed it! The only thing I would add is that there's no way the elites, D or R, will allow themselves or their families to live in the mad max apocalyptic landscape of mass economic collapse, which leads right to your point.
