I’m glad to see “Coach” has moved up to two sentence paragraphs.

Cruz has taken cash from both sides of the amnesty issue

It's so concerning. I can't watch. Wake me up when it's over.

Yes he does. I’ve pointed out in prior posts that Trump wants to institute an “expedited process” (beyond the methods available to those who choose to immigrate LEGALLY) to allow deported illegals - in his words, the “good people” among the illegals - back into the country. Isn’t that de facto amnesty?

Secrets Exposed: Goldman Sachs May Be Obama’s Enron
http://www.thenewamerican.com/index.php/usnews/politics/3422-secrets-exposed-goldman-sachs-may-be-obamas-enron

Once again, the mainstream media has failed to do its job, requiring Glenn Beck to expose more secrets of the Obama administration. This time, Beck has unveiled the agenda of the Chicago Climate Exchange, and perhaps most notably, the connections between President Barack Obama and Goldman Sachs, the organization that he has pretended to reprimand publically while apparently scheming with it behind closed doors. I think that the ‘expedited process’ should be a major issue in this campaign. And I hope Cruz finds a way to get it above the radar. It’s up to him though. And it’s up to Trump to respond.

And, and Cruz got an extra chocolate milk in 3rd grade and didn't pay for it! Send him to jail with Hilary!

Completely agree. The problem of course is that while the Republican candidates are examined in a manner that would make a proctologist blush Hillary Clinton has been (literally) getting away with murder for decades. And a point in Trump’s favor is that he is a bare knuckle fighter who so far has no qualms about fighting her on her own terms.

“As much as I admire Cruz, we must vet him before the primary votes.”

Because every left wing outlet will gladly do it in September from NPR down to Gawker media.

Cruz raised over $22M in the last QUARTER, and people think he can be bought for less than $1M?

Pluswhich, anyone who knows the man knows he cannot be bought.

Keep trying though!

What do you think about Goldman Sachs’ handling of AAA rated bundled debts that led to the Economic Meltdown of 2008?

I think it would be great if Cruz were to resarch that, convince his wife to resign from G. Sachs, return the donation, and denounce that infernal corporation.

“... every left wing outlet will gladly do it in September from NPR down to Gawker media.”

Exactly. Not only should accusations kick the tires, but Cruz needs to show how he can respond, not how FRiends here can rant with little substance.

Vera Coking (sob story little old lady) prevailed. The property cost her $20,000. She probably would have been smart to sell her property to Bob Guccione for one million dollars when he offered her that sum ten years after her purchase.

Eventually, it was offered for five million dollars with no takers, then reduced to one million dollars, still with no takers, and eventually sold for $530,000, IIRC.

‘And a point in Trump’s favor is that he is a bare knuckle fighter who so far has no qualms about fighting her on her own terms.’

Right. It’s brutally unfair, but this is where US politics is today.

Powerhouse political player Goldman Sachs gave Cruz $69,350....Cruz's wife is a G/S exec. The pro-amnesty Goldman Sachs has a long history of dirty dealings, is a known Democrat ATM, and is currently under FBI scrutiny.

INCONVENIENT FACTOIDS Socialist Democrat candidate Bernie Sanders is "for the people". He keeps regurgitating his disgust with Wall Street, and those he feels contribute to inequality in America.

(Sniffle) So at the Dem debate, it was a real tear-jerker when "kindly compassionate" Wall Street hater Bernie stoutly defended Hillary's criminality WRT her State Dept emails....as Hillary glowed w/ approval.

WE KNOW FOR SURE Bernie hates nasty Wall Street hogging all the wealth leaving the working classes w/ nothing but he really, really loves Hillary. NOW, I JUST CAN'T WAIT---Will be such fun to see Bernie defend THIS Hillary.

Then-US Sen Clinton and then-Sen Corzine on the Capitol steps.

EXHIBIT ONE Corzine was fresh out of Goldman Sachs executive suite, buying his NJ Senate seat office for $65 million; then buying the NJ governorship. Out of office, he ran a hedge fund where $1.5 B went missing....that employed both Bill Clinton and then-Secy of State Hillary's top aide Huma Abedin.

EXHIBIT TWO When Chelsea Clinton's husband started a hedge fund, he gained access to investors who had ties to the Clintons and to Goldman Sachs. Back in 2011, Mezvinsky, now 37, and two former Goldman Sachs'ers — Bennett Grau and Mark Mallon — began raising money for Mezvinsky's Eaglevale Partners LP hedge fund.

Some of Mezvinsky's investors included Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein. Wall Street Blankfein, a slavish Democrat supporter, said he had "always been a fan of Hillary Clinton." The WSJ reported extensively on the hedge fund's underperformance since its inception and Mezvinsky's mediocre investing and strategizing.

===========================================

EXHIBIT THREE Then-US Sen Jon Corzine (D-NJ), used his office to pass a special tax exemption for a Japanese bank he owned----his Goldman Sachs crony, Christopher Flowers---adminstrator of Sen Corzine's "blind trust"--- used Corzine's assets to takeover the Japanese bank.

LAUGH BREAK Corzine later said he "did not know" the legislation he sponsored "benefited" him.

================================================

There's a saying in Congress---"One hand washes the other. You vote for my bill; I vote for your bill." Did Hillary vote for Corzine's legislation....giving tax breaks for a Japanese bank Corzine's "blind trust" owned? And what other Wall Street deals did Corzine make w/ Hillary to enrich himself...and her?

"Bernie, I insist you go first."

ROTFLMAO.

“Credit Suisse Group gave Cruz $33,442. CSG is under federal and international investigation as the money launderers for the crooks who ran FIFA the international soccer association.”

CSG is also a very prominent financial firm. Of course, countries accusing Swiss financial firms of “money laundering” is nothing new. That’s pretty much par for the course.

“He has received $705, 657 from the pro-amnesty Club For Growth...”

It might be true that Club for Growth supports amnesty, but their main function is NOT as a pro-amnesty organization. Club for Growth has always been primarily pushing a FISCALLY CONSERVATIVE agenda of lower taxes and lower spending.

“The pro-amnesty Goldman Sachs....”

Again, everyone knows Goldman Sachs is primarily a BUSINESS, and not some pro-amnesty organization.

If this is the worst they can dig up (on Cruz’ donors, not even on Cruz himself), it just makes me want to vote for him even more.

Well here’s my counter-point to the coach-is-right article:

I like Cruz and intend to vote for him in the primaries. Good luck with your guy “coach”.

You are welcome to try and rebut my counter-point.

Cruz has taken cash from both sides of the amnesty issue.....including $705, 657 from the pro-amnesty Club For Growth.....

"I would not be in the United States Senate if it were not for the Club for Growth," Cruz stoutly admitted.

(Among its other causes, the Club for Growth has opposed action against fossil fuel emissions. Which scenario is more plausible, thousands of scientists pretending to believe in global warming to get government grants or Cruz denying it to get campaign donations?)

===================================================

Cruz also has troubling ties to Goldmand Sachs......and the Council on Foreign Relations via his wife......a Goldman Sachs exec....

Mrs Cruz served on the North American Union task force, and supported their report called---'Building a North American Community."

The North/South border effort was sponsored by the Council on Foreign Relations in association with the Canadian Council of Chief Executives and the Consejo Mexicano de Asuntos Internacionales.

Translated into English, that means forget US sovereignty....just eradicate US borders.

To be fair, Cruz renounced his Canadian citizenship....recently.

I’m wondering how much these same outfits are giving to other candidates. I’m going to guess that Morgan Lewis doles out money to more than one candidate — Democrats too perhaps. I used to work for a law firm that has its own PAC. They play both sides of the fence.

And note that all three companies are under investigation or have been sued. Have any of them been convicted of wrongdoing?
_________________________________________________________

Same here. Many of the largest law firms, especially in DC, have their own lobbying practice areas. Where do many former Congressmen and government officials end up? Working for DC law firms. Doing what? Serving as lobbyists.

These firms also give large donations to campaigns and activist groups. All of them. It gets their foot in the door for future lobbying efforts — the cause or campaign doesn’t matter. Only the money matters and there is a lot of money floating around DC.
