I can tell you just glanced at my post.

Yours deserve the same sort of scrutiny. :)

He is now underwritten and writes what he is told, it seems obvious.

Yes, this is yet another about face on his part.

I doubt he looked at your speed post. Excellent work, BTW.

He's got his Narrative, and he's sticking to it. :)

I think there are some gaps in your analysis that I discussed above. Based on the video, I do not believe that the office on the left was a shooter.

Also, unless his bullet severed Lavoy’s spine, or unless he shot a cannon of a gun (in which case he has a left forearm to rival Popeye), Lavoy’s body drop is consistent with being tased.

To clarify my statement, I think Lavoy was already mortally wounded and the officer on the left put him on the ground with a taser.

Oh, I know he did not intend to hit anyone. We agree all the way down the line.

But that is not the point.

The point is what those officers concluded from his actions...and the fact that he was willing to come that close...that he was willing to hazard their lives...therefore their guard and their concern over him in particular would have gone way up.

It is how they are trained and in the circumstance, from their perspective, it is also understandable.

They were put into that situation by managers who decided to end this protest without regard to the danger it placed both the protestors and the law enforcement personnel in.

As one should. The same thing goes for taking any man’s life. Regardless of how legal it might be, we will all be held accountable for our actions. Some of us won’t be held accountable in this life, but we will all have to answer some day.

I have not seen a report saying he got hit in the head. I have only seen reference to shots to the body, and I don’t see any evidence of a hit to the head in the video.

The distance and clothing would have made a taser employment pretty difficult. Had the hit that took him down been a taser, then he should have moved after the Taser power cycle was over, 5 seconds after trigger release. I think he fell to the snow from a devastating gunshot wound, head, neck, or spine.

Some people are working on transcribing the interview. I will post it when I find it if possible.

The distance at what looks like the time of taser deployment would have been about 12 feet, well within taser range. And, he did move after he was on the ground.

It could have been a GSW to the spine, but from the video I am not seeing any evidence of a head or neck wound. Also, the officer to the left of Lavoy is behaving like he is using a taser, and not a pistol. (His right hand is at his hip during deployment of the taser, you can see him stripping wire from the taser as he maneuvers around Lavoy, and he wouldn’t have had a safe shot with a firearm).

We will get a better idea of what happened if/when the coroner’s report is released.

Thanks, there is kind of a dueling set of protests going on now in Harney county. Not much media coverage that I see. This girl is covering via twitter with pictures and some video.

I still think that is more than 12 feet. The problem, among many, with taser is the vertical dart spread gets really wide past 10 feet. Coming up from behind is the best target, and less chance of hitting less desirable areas of the body. The thick clothing would also work against getting a solid circuit.

They were charged and found guilty once. The judge disregarded the sentencing guidelines and gave them lighter sentences. The US attorney, who is a wacko, appealed the sentences, won, and the minimum sentences were tacked on, The charges they were tried on were part of a terrorism statute, which is not fair. If they were guilty of anything, it was poor range management. I know there were accusations of poaching involved, but I won’t comment on portions of the trial that are that murky.

I shed tears for our Republic whose flag has been severely stained, trampled, torn and thoroughly disrespected by undeserving pathological liars. These useless unproductive liberal scum demand sustenance and lodging yet produce nothing but verbose demands in their cries of racial hatred.

At 9:32 in the unedited film, the officer to the left is no more than two times the width of the Lavoy’s truck from Lavoy. Assuming the back of the truck is about 6-6.5 feet, that would put the officer at about 12 feet.

From Wiki and multiple product sites, the effective range of the taser is based on the cartridge used, but almost every model has an effective range of at least 15’ and many up to 35’. Also, the farther spread of the prongs, within reason, increases the effectiveness of the taser.

Also, the angles look liked he got tased in the front/side, not in the back, so clothing would not be nearly as big an issue.

Finally, read my first post and watch the video to see how the officer is behaving. There is no rational basis for some of his actions unless he used a taser.

The roads looked a little slippery. Would you say they had time to stop or not? Did it appear they tried to stop, or drive around at full speed?
