No, this isn't the one that you see on youtube of an eagle attacking a small deer. It's another one out in the open field, not sure exactly where. You'll see the eagle come screaming across to nab the deer and they both tumble with the eagle taking a dominant position. Have a look here.

While hunting in Arizona’s Chircahua mountains, I was glassing a small group of deer when a very large golden eagle dove at a Coues deer fawn (which are much smaller than their Eastern or Midwestern whitetail cousins) in the group. Although it didn’t get the fawn, the eagle sat on the ground with it’s wings spread and lifted for a few minutes after the deer scattered. Very cool sight and not one I’m likely to see again.

looks to me like the bird belongs to the guy at the begining of the vid and is released to attack the deer.

Not a random video catch but set up.

There’s youtube videos of Mongolians using golden eagles to kill wolves. I don’t think most realize how much pressure they generate with those big talons, I know I didn’t.

The deer also had bells on it to attract the bird.

That looks like a crazy and highly hazardous thing for an eagle to do. Looks like a broken wing waiting to happen!

In Nevada, I once saw a golden eagle try for a mule deer fawn, but one of the adult deer intervened.

These birds knock animals who climb steep mountains off the slopes then feast on the carcass after it splashes at the bottom.

Read the story below about a mountain climber who fell and was devoured within the hour before the other climbing partners and rescuers could get to the bottom.
