When I donate to a candidate, apparently other GOP candidates get the list.

I find it admirable that Dr. Ben Carson has placed blame where it belongs, with the MEDIA.

This began with CNN reporting and speculating on information about Ben Carson and his schedule on Iowa caucus day.

This news was shared - as that is what news is for to INFORM.

Now other outlets have climbed on the bandwagon looking for ratings.

And other candidates are trying to help themselves by hurting others.

I call on the Media and on Donald Trump to follow the example of Dr. Carson.

Capitalizing on this - "never let a crisis go to waste" - by attacking Ted Cruz is just plain wrong.

Ted Cruz has handled this with character, while others have shown (or reinforced) their need to resort to character assassination for personal or ideological gain.

Good. Maybe even ole Greta will correct her targeted and obviously Rubio leaning bias on this issue. She was over the top last night.

At two GOP Debate Watch Parties (Quaker Steak & Lube, St. Pete, FL) I have openly praised Dr. Ben Carson and encouraged all attendees to watch his movie "Gifted Hands", although I am an official Ted Cruz Florida Campaigner.

Having said that, Dr. Ben Carson, as brilliant as he is, has run a disasterous Presidential Campaign.

Dr. Ben Carson is now whining about a pathetic fourth-place Iowa finish, BLOWING his previous 4-week straight Iowa polling lead.

And of course, it's ALL Ted Cruz's fault.

It's clearly Ted Cruz's fault that Ben Carson suspended his Presidntial campaign for two week to promote Carson's new book (/sarcasm-off).

It's clearly Ted Cruz's fault that one-half of Ben Carson's campaign team leadership QUIT two weeks before the Iowa vote (/sarcasm-off).

It's clearly Ted Cruz's fault that Ben Carson wasted two weeks on a STUPID Middle East visit, instead of campaigning in all of Iowa's 99 counties (/sarcasm-off).

It's clearly Ted Cruz's fault that Dr. Ben Carson's debate performances have been PATHETIC ... or worse (/sarcasm-off).

It's clearly Ted Cruz's fault that Dr. Ben Carson announced that Carson was leaving Iowa for a Florida trip (and NOT campaigning in Iowas) ... (/sarcasm-off).

Picture yourself as an Iowa Caucus Voter.

If CNN had floated a political rumor that Donald Trump was going to suspend his campaign after Iowa ... NO ONE WOULD HAVE BELIEVED IT.

Why ?

Donald Trump (like him or not) is a GENUINELY serious Presidential candidate.

If CNN had floated a political rumor that Marco Rubio was going to suspend his campaign after Iowa ... NO ONE WOULD HAVE BELIEVED IT.

Why ?

Marco Rubio (like him or not) is a GENUINELY serious Presidential candidate.

In the 2016 GOP Presidential race, Dr. Ben Carson is simply a black version of Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum, Rand Paul, and Jim Gilmore.

Maybe nice guys ... but NONE really serious about getting elected President.

At least Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum have had the grace and dignity to drop-out.

All Dr. Ben Carson wants to do is whine about BLOWING his (once incredible) Iowa lead ...

Maybe Dr. Ben Carson can go contemplate his "political stupidity" in one of those Egyptian Pyramid Grain Silos ...

CNN never said Carson was dropping out. They could have reported Carson’s plans much better.

Cruz’s people did and continued to spread the story after Carson issued a release saying he was not dropping out. Rubio’s people jumped on board too.

It wasn’t CNN that tacked the “vote for Cruz” on the end and it isn’t CNN’s “personal ambition” he is referring to.

I’m a Cruz guy, but it would go a long way, I think, if Cruz came out and said, “I reviewed what happened with my team during the Iowa caucuses. While my team was reacting to a CNN news report in good faith, I can understand how some people may have become confused by the way CNN reported Dr Carson’s intentions. I want a campaign that operates above reproach, so I am therefore going to ask my Iowa delegates if they will pledge one vote for Dr Carson at the convention. While we cannot be sure of the real impact, we feel that this gesture should hopefully erase any doubt about my campaign’s intentions.”

Frankly, if Carson isn’t in by the time of the convention (which he is likely not to be), this would be appropriate and would ultimately win Cruz more credit than it would cost him.

My opinion of Carson just went up a big notch.

There is only one child in this race.

I’m just tired of Carson complaining...and complaining...

I wrote his campaign an email and before the primary and they replied:

“Thank you for sharing, Timothy! One thing to keep in mind about Donald Trump as well is the fact he blatantly lied about Dr. Carson’s character and life story”

I didn’t mention Trump!

I like Ben Carson, but he needs to get his own campaign under control and stop complaining about how unfair he’s being treated. he’s coming across as a toddler throwing a temper tantrum. He’s an intelligent guy, but he’s not smart enough to realize both Trump and Fox are using him right now. He couldn’t get on that program for months, now all of a sudden he’s on every one of em. And Trump was just trashing him in November, now all of a sudden Trump’s on his side? Come on Carson, stop with the sideshow already.

It was dirty. But that’s politics. Cruz’s team was all too eager to spread the first report. But not so much with the follow up clarification, by Cruz’s own admission. That’s how politics works. The media is an enemy and that’s why they need to be fought tooth and nail.

you are a certifiable nutjob.. all of a sudden it’s Dr. Carson now and he’s admirable.. and for the last two days you Cruzbots have been telling us it’s totally Carson and his amateurish campaign staff who were to blame.. Amazing thing to watch you people in action twisting yourselves into pretzels defending obvious sleaze tactics

Ted Cruz has handled this with character

Bad character. He's the one who ran his mouth to spread manure before vetting it. This is all on Cruz' head. He's the one who should be apologizing for this. Every day Cruz drops in my book with more lies, manipulations and snarks.

Sorry I have to disagree. The Cruz campaign twisted the story and used it. It was dishonest and Ted should fire some people unless he was in the middle of it. Then he should fire himself.

The problem is, it really isn’t CNN’s fault. It is Carson’s fault. He let it be known that no matter what happened in Iowa, he was going home to Florida. He was not heading to New Hampshire or South Carolina to campaign as is expected of any candidate serious about the nomination. His next appearance would be at a non-campaign event late in the week in Washington, DC. He is still not campaigning.

CNN’s reporting was accurate. The Rubio and Cruz campaigns were right to let caucus goers know that supporting Carson was really a waste. Carson should not have demanded an apology from Cruz. Carson should apologize to his supporters because he is not interested in campaigning.
