Mitchell's chapter is titled "Scandal at the IRS."
Trump is correct if he said the Tea Party is irrelevant. It is now. Obama has so far succeeded. This is one of the most shocking and grotesque actions of our federal government ever.
Judging from my fellow Tea partiers on FR and group I belong to, the “Ted Cruz or I’ll stay home and not vote” attitude has turned me off of the tea party, and the word “conservative” in general, due to it constantly being shoved in my face repeatedly the past few months.
Totally confused on what Trump tweeted. His statements were true. And the Tea Oarty did help elect and reelection McConnell and Bonehead and Ryan and McShamey
Unfortunately the Tea Party is irrelevant...
How many TP candidates have they elected who stayed on the Conservative course ???
Rubio was a TP candidate wasn’t he ???
and there were others...
so many times moderates have fooled the TP into supporting them for high office and then turned and did whatever their actual political calling bid them do...
Trump is right, if the Tea Party had any power they should have ruled the offices by now...
however the political landscape remains much as it has always been...and worse...
Conservatives must learn to truly vet the people they put in power over their groups and thus the people they offer as candidates...
each new Conservative group starts out birthed by people with honest Conservative hearts and soon a Pied Piper appears on the horizon and the duped members hang their star on the shoulders of a Karl Rove type and cheer as they are led away with a chameleon candidate of the new leaders choosing...
and are stupidly surprised when the erstwhile unknown and new elected congressman etc supports AMNESTY or grabbing guns or TPP instead of Conservative causes..
all the while hiding behind the old worn out mantra, but I’m pro-life...
How often has an abortion issue come up for a vote lately ???
but AMNESTY etc have and the TP candidates have fallen down on the side of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi thus Obama instead of the wishes of Conservative Americans...
I’ve lately given up on the tears of disillusionment of confused and saddened Christians and Conservatives...
Don’t come to me for pity any more...
Flame away in your madness and political hell...
Have you made arrangements at a mental health facility for check in and committal when Trump gets the nomination?
All too often GOP candidates run as TP conservatives, but turn out to be anything but.
He has a point. How many Tea Party people who were supported turned into RINOs. I say it is a dead group. It had it’s place. Things come and go. Fads are good. But it is now time to get this Reagan collation going.....that is key to a Trump win.
Since the name “Tea Party” is not trademarked, any group can call itself a tea party. Staten Island has three or four of them, with different names and different levels of honest conservatism, from party hacks to the other extreme.
Manhattan has several, none of them very active anymore. They have just faded away. They also ran the gamut.
One meeting I went to a few years ago was discussing book lists and walking tours. You can imagine my reaction.
“the âTed Cruz or Iâll stay home and not voteâ attitude has turned me off of the tea party,”
But the “Ted Cruz is a nasty sleazy cheating liar” attitude turns you on???
I would expect that from a Planned Parenthood-loving moderate, so this does not surprise me.
People like Cruz, Rubio and their k St. handlers and some talking heads like LEVIN have destroyed the ‘tea Party’. It has been hijacked and destroyed by the open border cartel and their big $$$, which they con out of all of us.
WHICH “Tea party”?
The first thing you all better face is that the tea party label has been hijacked by open border/free traitor lobbyists...YES, I mean Tea Party Express and Tea Party patriots, who recently endorsed Cruz. Local grass roots tea parties want nothing to do with these scammers! Wise up!
TPP leader Jenny Beth Martin is “on track to make more than $450,000 this year.....the grass roots TP has distanced themselves from these lobbyist/conmen.
MORE! Any one who votes SHOULD know this by now!

Cruz people are getting desperate. Trump must be winning.
“how many misleading headlines are posted here by Cruz supporters.”
Unlike Trumpmessiah supporters, who always post the most respectful headlines about Cruz.
Ehh.....let’s face it. There WERE a lot of “Tea Party conservatives” who went Washington as soon as the wheels of their planes touched asphalt at Dulles.
Cruzperados, why don’t you come to your senses...
And where in this does he mention the TP?
Was there something in this quote missed?
Haven’t Freepers been screaming for years that supposed conservatives have done little to forward the cause once they get to DC?
It sounds like thousands of posts from this very forum. And yet now we are supposed to take a similar statement and use it to burn Trump?
Remember Marco Go8 ran on a TP platform...
Unfortunately, the Tea Party is irrelevant.
It was killed by Onambla’s weaponizing of the IRS, and the GOPe’s refusal to do anything about it.
(But the âTed Cruz is a nasty sleazy cheating liarâ attitude turns you on???)
No but it validates the same feelings I’ve been having after reading about and listening to Cruz.
I will vote for Cruz, Bush, Rubio, or any R in the general. Unlike the anti Trump freepers ando TPers
When someone recently brought this up to Mark Levin and reminded him that he had endorsed Rubio for the Senate (when Rubio was claiming to be Tea Party), Mark said, "That's why I don't endorse candidates any more."
(Yes I know he likes Cruz. But it was funny anyway.)
Trump is always right. He’s even right when he’s wrong factually, or when he disagrees with himself. We cannot hold him to the standards of ordinary humans.
