New Michigan Poll: Ted Cruz Ceiling 19%, Marco Rubio Ceiling 18%, Donald Trump Winning
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | 3-3-2016 | sundance

It’s time to start flipping the opposition narratives onto their own candidates.

81% of Michigan republican voters do not support Ted Cruz; and 82% of Michigan republican voters do not support Marco Rubio. Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio have almost identical “ceilings” at 19% and 18% respectively. (link)

See how that works? It’s all in the presentation:

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton greets a supporter following her address at the 18th Annual David N. Dinkins Leadership and Public Policy Forum at Columbia University in New York

MICHIGAN – […] If the Michigan GOP Presidential primary were held today, Trump would win with 29% of the vote compared to Cruz with 19% and Rubio right on his heals with 18%. Ohio Governor John Kasich and neurosurgeon Ben Carson are currently polling at 8% each. Eighteen percent are still undecided.

Bernie Porn, president of the Lansing polling firm that surveyed 400 likely Republican voters said, “Trump is well positioned to win Michigan on Tuesday, March 8, but Rubio is likely to overtake Cruz in Michigan. Nevertheless, as it now stands, Trump is the odds on favorite to win the GOP nomination in Cleveland.”

What’s fascinating about this year’s high interest presidential contest is that the candidate Michiganders like the most is at the bottom of the polls. Detroit native Ben Carson has a 72% favorability rating, followed by Rubio at 64%, Cruz – 57%, Kasich – 54% and Trump at 48%.

But Trump’s strength with the voters rests in what Bernie Porn says is “his attitude and image as a fighter which is stronger than where he stands on the issues.”

When the voters were asked about Trump’s statement that he would ban all Muslims from entering the U.S. until America got a better handle on combating terrorism, 61% of Republican voters agreed, 32% disagreed. (read more)

Three Michiganders in this house voting for Cruz. A Michigan thread with no spin would have been better.

Seat Number 32904 way up there in the back row in the south 40 is empty. Michigan must hate him.

Been in Michigan since the 70’s. We are particularly sick of being told who to vote for, and that incudes being told Trump has already won, get on board.

It’s a blog that spins for Trump, but provides factual data.

If you’re from Michigan, why not start your own thread? Ping me to it and I’ll speak kindly of Cruz.

Then, using the logic I hear applied to Trump all the time, that means 8 out of 10 Michiganders hate Ted Cruz’s guts with the intensity of a billion supernovas...or something.

Sorry to post on our thread. I see no sense in multiple Michigan threads with our primary coming up.

Michigan shares a short border with OH and has a lot of the same problems. If Kasich were earning respect in OH and in the region for solving any of those problems, his support would be higher in Michigan.

After today’s events I switched my vote to Trump. When Romney is saying vote for Ted and then Teds staffer saying he welcomes Romney’s comments then screw that.
I am now for Trump, thanks establishment and Romney.

I was thinking of Dwight Eisenhower right now. Remember his campaign slogan, “I Like Ike”. Something tells me if Bernie were to run for public office he wouldn’t copy that slogan. LOL
