...snip... Trumps Super Tuesday dominance gives him a solid lead. But his impromptu press conference was Trump showing us what his afterburners will look like when he fires them up for the general election.
You havent seen anything yet.
You might wonder what its like to be me, and to see the future so clearly in this particular case. The answer is that this is my normal, so yesterday just seemed like Tuesday to me. When you learn enough about the science of persuasion, the mysteries of life start to fall away. A good start on that journey is my Persuasion Reading List.

Just demolished Romney’s attack. Treated the whole thing with bemused contment. Well played Mr Trump.
Here hoping he can carry this over to tonight’s debate.
My take on it - what do I know I am an amateur. But so is Trump - this is his first election ever and he dominated against seasoned life long politicians.
Here is my take, again an amature opinion.
Romney, tonights debate all of it is a deperate attempt to get Trump to have a melt down. They know only Trump can stop Trump. Watch Fox go full out tonight to try and “get” Trump.
All Trump needs to do is keep his cool and strategically counter punch, like he did at the last debate, and today, and he wins.
They need Trump to make a mistake, he only needs to not lose.
That is good technique. A Master Persuader says FIRST the thing he wants you to remember. Then he explains why. If you do those things in reverse order which is a common error you get a hot mess. Good persuaders start with the conclusion first in this sort of situation. Bad persuaders give the reasoning first and work toward the conclusion.
This is how business communications are normally done. Most 25-year-olds in business have mastered this.
I don’t think Trump has the discipline to step back. How many times will he call Rubio nasty or possibly Cruz? Megyn might even get him riled up.
I think he does have the discipline to step back, a guy who unable to hold his tongue and keep his cool, does not have buildings bearing his name all over the world.
The ankle bitters on stage have only one way to win. Hell, maybe even winning is not the point for them now that their master has ordered them to kamikaze themselves to stop Trump. They lose by attacking Trump. Attacking Trump means he is in front. They seem desperate. My amateur take on it.
I don’t think he’s ready to ease up, and I agree. Too much still at stake, too many loose variables. He can hint at civility, but it’s still a dogfight.
I am just repeating my post that is above to you: It could be Trump wins either way by being attacked or holding back and being calm - if attacked the audience sees a pile up - one guy against the big bad world. A master strategist goes into a fight where there are multiple ways of winning.

What’s interesting is that Scott Adams is in no way a conservative, or even republican.
IF it was me I would characterize everything as desperation. Desperate GOP elite. Desperate ankle biters.
Trump has the luxury of both being able to be calm and presidential looking and attacking. He has two strategies to chose from. The others need to attack all the time. Thus they will seem like losers.
If Trump uses the Reagan line “THERE YOU GO AGAIN” I will lose it.
Today worked out outstanding for him too, IMO. I have no idea what the other channels did, since I wasn't channel-hopping, but Fox Business showed his entire campaign rally, commercial free, for the 3/4 hour or whatever it lasted. Romney made his speech to go after Trump, and Trump then had the opportunity to spend even more time on TV with a rebuttal, complete with an audience cheering.
Pay attention and learn and you will see that Trump is probably running the most disciplined campaign ever run. His off the cuff snap headshots to his opponents are practiced moves executed with the precision of a well-trained prize fighter.
A very interesting reading list, I’ve got to at least try a few of them.
Found this comment at the bottom of his blog post worth sharing, because so much of what is said on FR and elsewhere about Trump presumes there is no method behind what is perceived to be his madness:
You know how the media has made fun of Trumps 4th-grade-level speech patterns?
The jokes on them.
He does it intentionally.
Because it works.
Good analysis.
Sure...he got to the point he is at because he is so easily roiled?...are you serious? This willard stunt is perfect for Trump entering the debate...they will all have to comment on what they think of a guy (willard) who was sucking up to him in 2012 and full of praise for his business acumen and other traits is now a dishonest used car sales man who only wants a free ride to the presidency where he will accept no pay I should add...F ...mittens and his magic underwear, but on the other hand THANK YOU mittens for being the 2 time loser dolt that you are....OH! Sports Authority announced it’s chapter 11 bankruptcy today ...another in a long list for BAINE capitol ..MITTENS company.
The greatest lack of discipline and overall moral character is race-baiting, which leaves Cruz and Rubes out as presidential material.
