I guess the idea is Trump is Ford. Hillary is Carter. Cruz is Reagan.

Cruz is Reagan.

Reagan had charisma.

Excellent. Thank you.

McConnell wanted him to go further left in order to get along with his senate colleagues. Cruz won’t do that. He’s made it this far with them stabbing him in the back, he can go further.

If the country is as I think it is, the Rats will lose in 2016. Cruz was just doing well compared to a bunch of others. Nationally, he never has passed what Carson got in November average at RCP. It wasn’t even that high, yet Cruz hasn’t reached it yet. Maybe without Rubio he will.

Cruz needs to start worrying about 2018. He did not come close 50% in the Texas primary. I would be worried about getting reelected to the Senate if I were him.

You got that right. He/ll be lucky if he retains his Senate seat.

Even his home state paper....the Houston Chronicle cited experts who say he'll have to posture carefully for the future of this race, and his political career.

Donald kept him way below the 50% he needed to sweep the Texas delegates. Cruz/s 44% was the poorest showing ever by a Texas Republican....Bush got 88%.

=================================================

In Texas, Cruz/s Senate election fairy tale has become legendary......portraying himself to trusting Texans as a scrappy populist putting everything on the line to overcome a wealthy establishment opponent.

He was whining in the media, telling trusting Texans that he, and his faithful little wife (a $700,000 globalist lawyer employed by G/S), were forced to break their piggy bank---liquidate their entire family savings (of slightly more than $1 million) to fuel a come-from-behind win in the Republican primary.

NOW TEXANS LEARN Cruz did not liquidate family assets.....he got his hands on over a million dollars from his hefty margin accounts at G/S and Citibank......and did not disclose this on FEC reports (to keep it a secret from Texans).

Cruz did not disclose loans on FEC reports (required by law) b/c Texans would have discovered he was not the aw-shucks rube he pretended to be. He continued the rube act in order to milk votes from Texans.

At the same time, he also did not disclose he was a Canadian citizen......the Harvard-educated lawyer w/ two Ivy League degrees said he didn/t know.

When the Dallas Morning News published Cruz/s Canadian birth certificate, Cruz put Texans through the charade of renouncing his Canadian citizenship.....even though Canada did not recognize dual citizenship at the time of his birth.

==============================================

By staying in the prez race where he was one of the big losers, Cruz shows his hidden agenda. His only goal is to damage the Trump brand. Cruz/s animosity toward Trump has reached the vengeful stage.

It’s more likely, IMO Cruz and Trump unite as a ticket and shut out the GOPe.

That meeting those two had a few months ago is more important that many realize imo.

Cruz isn’t Reagan.

Cruz THINKS he’s Reagan, down to the haircut.

Cruz may wise up and create a better man in the next four years. People mature, and Cruz is very very smart. If he loses the plastic politician and practices the truly sincere approachable guy personality, he can get better.

I’m not recommending anything fake. In fact, I’m recommending losing anything fake. He has to own his mistakes in public. He has to pay his penance. He has to create some proved policy accomplishments on the ground. He has to improve who he is.

With that, Cruz can win. He has 5 more election cycles before he is too old.

Cruz needs to STOP listening to the Bush Clan. They have infiltrated his campaign to “use” Ted to help the Establishment take out Trump, and THEN.... to finish off Cruz from within. A twofer of sorts.

Cruz, remember what George Bush said about you? That’s how they really feel about you. The Bush’s are schmoozing you.

They are encouraging Cruz by promising to back him (liars) so he’ll stay in when the numbers aren’t there to support him continuing. Why? Because they need him to whack Trump, and after they’re done.... they’ll whack Ted without batting eye.

Reagan had charisma.

It is not enough to parrot a bunch of stuff that your team of high priced consultants have determined the people want to hear. Maybe Ted's appearance and voice will mature and become more statesman like in a few more years and he will get to actually demonstrate some leadership abilities in the Senate. Seriously, Juan McCain had a better voice and appearance, was actually a POW, and had some kind of accomplishments in the Senate. The only problem Juan had is that he is a hot headed, global warming believing, amnesty granting, idiot liberal in conservative clothing. Other than that he was a much better candidate than Ted.

I don’t think Cruz will win this thing but as long as he doesn’t alienate too many Trump supporters he only helps himself for the future by campaigning in all 50. It’ll build his organization, raise name recognition, and allow for networking. He’ll win reelection in Texas and if he doesn’t the guy’s a top notch Harvard lawyer. He’ll be fine.

No matter what happens from here on out it’s good for conservatives. Cruz, although imperfect, would represent us well in the general, Trump is winning on a lot of conservative ideals and there will be one hell of a revolt if he abandons them. Even if the party and intervenes and pisses off the base the voters will force reform on them.

Then of course there’s the bonus of seeing Trump vs. team Clinton.

I’m really proud of Ted for not sucking up to McConnell and “asking forgiveness” for telling the truth!

Trump has not run in his home state yet. In his second home state of Florida, Trump did better than Cruz did in Texas. Katich did better in Ohio than Cruz did in Texas. I know people who voted for Lying Ted in 2012 and probably won’t vote for him in 2018. But you are right, I hope Calgary Ted doesn’t worry about it.

If Calgary Ted is so beloved, why did he do worse in the primary than any other Texan running for President in one of the major parties in 100 years? I bought Calgary Ted’s BS in 2012 and voted for him. I will not be voting for the POS in 2018. I know others who also say they won’t vote for him again. I guess we’ll see.

Katich did better in Ohio than Cruz did in Texas.

No, he didn't. Cruz won TX by 17 points. Kasich won OH by 11 pints. Sure, Kasich's 46.8% was slightly higher than Cruz's percentage in TX, but Kasich was running against a less crowded field with Carson having quit and Rubio explicitly not contesting the state. Don't kid yourself. Running against a crowded field matters. Heck, Hillary Clinton is regularly racking up 50%+ wins. Why? Because she's only running against one schmuck. It doesn't make her some kind of powerhouse.

Well you’re not a Conservative so what does that matter? And if you were so easily duped to vote for him why is that his fault?

Not to worry, thanks to you and others we’ll put up a NY Liberal against the other NY Liberal.
