What The Establishment Fears
The Market-Ticker ^ | March 18, 2016 | Karl Denninger

Posted on 03/18/2016 3:50:51 PM PDT by SatinDoll

The plotting -- and abject fear -- continues...

(CNN) Prominent conservatives led by Erick Erickson on Thursday called for a unity ticket and a convention fight to stop Republican front-runner Donald Trump, a sign of the growing desperation in the party establishment to find an alternative to the billionaire businessman.

....

"We intend to keep our options open as to other avenues to oppose Donald Trump," the statement said. "Our multiple decades of work in the conservative movement for free markets, limited government, national defense, religious liberty, life, and marriage are about ideas, not necessarily parties."

Uh huh.

So let me see if I get this right.

The US House went to the Republicans in the 104th Congress in 1995. With the exception of two terms (110th and 111th Congress) since it has been in the hands of the Republican party -- the party of alleged "free markets, limited government, national defense, religious liberty, life and marriage."

I will note for the peanut gallery that not one dollar can be spent by the Federal Government on anything without the consent of the House. Therefore, for all but four years in the last 20 the Republican Party has permitted, each year, serially and continually:

Trade "deals" with China, Mexico and others that are one-way, not "free markets." Ask Fellowes (the shredder company) about how this works, or just look at the myriad restrictions China places on imports while obtaining free access to our markets without any restrictions or tariffs.

The size of government has grown from $2.02 trillion (1995) to $3.8 trillion (2015), an 88% increase. If this is "limited government" would you please explain what would not be?

National defense has grown from $326 billion to $797 billion, or more than a doubling. That, obviously, is "strong national defense." How much more do you think we need and why shouldn't those nations that benefit from our military presence help pay for it ratably in accordance with their GDP?

Religious liberty -- Really? Civil rights prosecutions for wedding cake merchants who happen to be Christians, anyone? The House could have stripped funding from every agency involved in same, but hasn't. 20 years of Republican purse strings have not done one damn thing for religious liberty.

Life and marriage -- Really? The last 20 years have continued the outrageous abuse of our "family law" courts that routinely strip men of their children and then demand they be absent parents; there has been zero movement to destroy those incentives for bad behavior, and in fact they've increased. The states are actually paid bounties by the Federal Government for breaking up homes and creating dependency. This has all continued apace under the time of the Republican holding of The House. If you're talking about abortion (and you know they are) you might ask exactly why it is that The House continues to fund programs they claim are abhorrent.

So out of five claims we have exactly one that has been met -- a "strong military" -- but that's been abusively strong in terms of spending. On the other points raised despite 20+ years of holding The House with only four years of interruption around President Obama's election the Republican Party has done exactly none of what it claims to stand for despite having the absolute power of the purse required to enact and support all of its claimed agenda.

The reason the Republican Party is facing open revolt by the voters is because it has lied serially, intentionally and wantonly for those 20 years. The Republican party is none of what it claims. It in fact exists for the sole purpose of ripping off Americans, promoting and exacerbating international theft of intellectual property, passing and promoting half-baked intentionally-abusive trade "deals" that rob the public of the benefits of actual free trade along with ridiculously abusive (and arguably felonious) monopolist practices in the medical field.

These people are protecting not their claimed ideals but their open theft and scams of their political donors.

The Republican refusal to pass and enforce a budget that provides for a surplus and thus results in the growth of consumer purchasing power instead of its destruction, enforcement of fair open trade instead of one-sided deals that rip off the public for the benefit of the 0.1% and a medical and insurance industry that has managed to rip off the public to the tune of 19% of GDP and climbing is what The Republican party actually stands for and has done over the last two decades.

Indeed, the most-obvious "in your face" example of the Republican party's lie factory is the fact that The House could immediately de-fund all of Obamacare by refusing to fund the IRS, thereby making enforcement impossible. They could also refuse to pass any spending authorizations until their alleged perspective was respected in both Houses of Congress and by the President.

This is within the power of the US House, and as the holder of the Majority the Republicans could have done this at any time in the last 20 years, save four, yet it has refused to do so. In fact Cathy McMorris-Rodgers' office told me personally during the last "big" fight over the debt limit that the Republican majority would not refuse to increase the debt limit as a means of enforcement of a balanced budget -- not then and not ever.

The people plotting this crap need to be identified by name and deposed from Washington DC, with any candidate or office-holder who so much as meets with them being included.

There’s simply too much money being made by the whoremasters in the government/business/media cabal to allow it to stop.

What about Trump getting elected and switching parties? It’s in his interest to do so?

Won't be long now...

Notice:

Not supporting our leading pro-America candidate emerging from the convention when our nation is facing the grave risk of another America-hating, constitution-hating, capitalism-hating, God-hating Marxist/fascist/socialist/communist following Obama will be considered tantamount to treason.

The most important part of why they fear Trump was left out.

He would shut down the Cheap Labor Express.

The people pipeline is paramount.

The citizens will not be allowed to keep their country.

It was decided years ago that we needed masses of non-English speaking, non-Americans to dilute the voing power of real Americans.

That is simply not true, not even Trump says that.
- From 1987-1999 He was registered a republican
- From 1999-2001 He was registered Independent Party (He was going to run for president)
- From 2001- Sept. 2009 he was registered as a Democrat.
- From From Sept. 2009 - Dec. 2011 He was Registered a Republican
- From December 2011 - April 2012 Independent
- He registers as a Republican in April 2012 to vote for Romney in the primary. (But he actually failed to vote)

Trump admits this. How can you deny it?

I’ve never voted for a socialist, pro-amnesty Democrat before, I don’t see what I should now.

The Republican Party allowed TRUMP to run as a REPUBLICAN only AFTER he signed a NO-COMPETE agreement , specifically to NOT RUN AS AN INDEPENDENT against them.

Now that he’s winning, they want to throw him out of the party, OR run their own INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE against him.

Republican Party Leaders are no different than Democratic Party Leaders. CORRUPT.

The Repub establishment is a forked tongue devil in need of flushing. The very claims they are making are huge lies. That they expect these lies to float as ‘truth’ tells us how much they disdain the voters.

Who cares? I do not any longer have the slightest allegiance to being “republican”.

I disagree. While your statement is popular right now with many, It is not the most important part. Our politicians are not that interested in 'cheap labor'.

The primary motivation for all this is that our elected politicians, the establishment if you will, is so CORRUPT, POWER MAD, and FILTHY RICH off screwing over the MIDDLE CLASS on EVERYTHING... that they cannot afford to let someone into the halls of power who will take that away from them.

Many of them would go to prison for the crimes they are committing.

Let's take just one instance. Department of State with Hillary Clinton as SOS. Comes up missing $6 BILLION and not a thing is done about it.

THAT is what the current 'establishment' is afraid of losing. That ability to steal directly from the public. And she is just one of many that are doing so.

At times like this, it is best to consider the LIES the artists use to TELL THE TRUTH.

MOVIE: SHOOTER

SENATOR MEACHUM: There are no sides. There's no Sunnis and Shiites. There's no Democrats and Republicans. There's only haves and have-nots.

When you hear neo conservative, its another name for a democrat that has come into the Gop. The Bush family and friends are all liberals that came into the Gop to make it a one party system. Now we are fighting to stop them from controling everything, which they have for years. Thats why we have the mess now. They are always for the advantage of a few rich, who fear the majority or the people. We must win this battle to take our govt andcountry back.

If Trump doesnt get to 1237, the Cruz delegates need to join Trump at the convention. This is for our freedom !
