Bishar Hassan spends his days navigating the halls and classrooms of Talahi Elementary School, working to embrace and empower the dozens of Somali students who have arrived since the start of the year.
Across town, his brother, Ahmed Hassan, fills a similar role at Discovery Community School, another campus that has experienced a recent surge in enrollment of Somali students.
The Hassan brothers are part of a growing community of Somali residents in this central Minnesota city of 65,000. The recent influx of immigrant students is nothing new in the St. Cloud school district, where English-language-learner enrollment has spiked by 350 percent in the past 15 years.
Today, roughly 20 percent of the district's 10,000 students are English-language learners, many of them with ties to the East African nation of Somalia.
Similar situations are developing in districts around the country.

Question — if America is so racist, so bigoted, so guilty of not atoning for slavery and Jim Crow, then why have so many immigrants from sub-Saharan Africa come to America in recent decades???
I’ve heard there is racial tension in some cities such as Washington, where you have resentment by native born blacks of African born blacks.
And I’ve heard some of the immigrant blacks want to keep their kids away from the American born blacks, as they are concerned they would be a bad influence on their children........
They better be "halal."
I'm convinced that unbacked, printed money and massive debt from the Federal Reserve is the oxygen and life-blood of progressives and their massive nanny state. Their control of money dominates and guides everything else.

How can you call a wind-swept, fly-blown hellhole with no recognizable government and virtually no economy a "nation?" Somalia is just some lines on a map; it lacks any of the cultural cohesion that normally defines a sovereign nation, and is little more than a source of ugly, skull-faced, boney parasites who invade America and cultivate terrorism, crime, ignorance, and hideous women.
And the rise of radical Islamists has also skyrocket in this metro area and you all have Lutheran Social services to thank for this influx of radicalism into the upper plains.
They were coming to Des Moines as I left. Tall and skinny, for the most part. Iowa has a bad habit, just like Minnesota, of taking in more than their share of refugees. Our church sponsored Hmong and Vietnamese refugees way back when. Later came the Bosnians.

Like many others, I have waited at airports in Amsterdam and Brussels to come back to the USA and seeing ROOMS filled with refugees of people from strange places coming to the USA, entrance port MINNESOTA. I wondered HOW these folks were selected. It struck me that they should have given EXIT visas to the Christians in Sudan who were persecuted and leave the countries of Eritrea and Yeman...let the Muslims work out their own problems, not bring them to MN..

if a public school teacher anywhere in the US did ANYTHING to accommodate its Christian students, they would be indicted for breaking the separation of Church and State hoax. Certainly hope someone files suit on these teachers.
I have a Nigerian friend who moved to Atlanta when he was 5. Told me the American blacks would make fun of him for doing well in school and his parents would spank him if he didn’t get all A’s.

Well to be honest......they probably would be. I won’t fault them for that.

yes, they used to do a very good service, however, then they went far left and thus we are reaping the consequences of not properly vetting refuges from unstable backgrounds.
Diversity will be ruination of this Nation - it has begun.
