HAVANA (AP) -- The Rolling Stones unleashed two hours of shrieking, thundering rock and roll on an ecstatic crowd of hundreds of thousands of Cubans and foreign visitors Friday night, capping one of the most momentous weeks in modern Cuban history with a massive celebration of music that was once forbidden here.

KeothRichards is still alive? No way!
Bad me. Posting late. Keith Richards.
The plastic guitar pick used by Keith Richards in this concert costs more than the average monthly salary of a doctor in Cuba.
Always like Keith Richards- he’s still got it
But I don’t know what to think about this show- the crowd seemed nice/grateful, and I do feel sorry for them
But everybody treating Cuba like 1990s Russia seems ludicrous, there’s been no revolution -not even any Glasnost- and a vile communist dictatorship remains in power, political prisoners, etc.
So what the hell are we celebrating there? Obama’s stupidity?
Free concert.
Had they charged anything no one would have been able to attend.
Surprised Raul didn’t force the band to work the sugar cane fields for the privilege of performing in the Cuban paradise.
It is bad enough; the message to Cuba’s people is that the White House and the entertainment industry have accepted the status quo - no more embargo, travel restrictions, stigma...
“After several popular song sets, the Stones began talking about freedom and what it has brought those countries that embrace it and how to start a freedom revolution” Wait.........I’m waking up now.
Funny...nothing has changed at all except that America has normalized reLations with Cuba but everyone is acting like Cuba can NOW accomplish or become something that it couldn’t accomplish or become before. WHAT was stopping this great transformation before?
Sanctions. /S
After this demonstration that communism has put Cuba 50 years behind the “free” world, will the BeeGees and Average White Band be heading to Havana?
Cultural rot in a country that is already communist seems ironic and a bit pointless.

See our “Rockin’ the Wall.”
Was Bernie there?
We have normal relations with China, Russia, Venzuela, Viet Nam and many other non democratic countries. Now that we have re-established diplomatic relations we can start to try to have a positive effect on Cuba.
