I wonder if Jindal is saying the right stuff against the Dump Trump movement for his base—but by not lifting a finger letting his delegates get stolen at the same time.
I don’t know that Jindal had anything to do with it.
Trump’s delegates weren’t stolen. Trump failed to provide any organization to get his voters to caucus for him. He didn’t seem to care whether or not his voters got elected as delegates and when they did get elected, he gave them no support to get them appointed to important state-level positions. His delegates in Louisiana said that when they contacted his campaign, they were brushed off or got a what’s-in-it-for-Trump attitude. Do you think those delegates will remain loyal to Trump after the first ballot? If not, he did it to himself.
Cruz had a superior campaign infrastructure and knew the importance of getting delegates elected. He supported his delegates. He’s ready for a contested convention.
