“Paris, was at the top – losing about 6% of its millionaire population or 7,000 millionaires in 2015 to the UK, the US, Canada, Australia and Israel.”

Good question. Off the top of my head, Singapore is a capitalist country which doesn’t tolerate Islamist activities, so that seems like a possible destination.

I read some business piece last week talking about this, and noted that several significant cities in Australia are taking up the bulk of the millionaires (Perth, Melbourne, Sydney).

I made a trip recently and went through Sydney and Melbourne. Home prices are blasting through the roof on homes within the urban region of each (you can’t buy anything for less than $500k US). Lot of business growth, small malls opening up, and new restaurants appearing monthly in both locations. Australia is very tight on immigration but they have various ways that if you appeared at the front door and said you had a couple of million for business investment, they’d approve your visa.

Toss in the climate and significant air travel options, it’s probably enticing for these millionaires.
