BEIJING (AP) -- China features prominently in the rhetoric of presumed Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who accuses the country of stealing American jobs and cheating at global trade. In China though, he's only just emerging as a public figure, despite fame elsewhere for his voluble utterances, high-profile businesses and reality TV shows.
Although the government has denounced Trump's threats of economic retaliation, many Chinese observers see a silver lining in his focus on economic issues instead of human rights and political freedoms. That could make him an attractive alternative to his likely rival, Democrat Hillary Clinton.
Trump "could in fact be the best president for China," Hong Kong Phoenix Television political commentator Wu Jun said during a recent on-air discussion....

China is going to find that America is a different Country than it was...
GO.TRUMP.GO!!! ALL THE WAY TO THE OVAL OFFICE!!!
B: Oh dear! Worry not, Chalmers, father will know what to do!
Chinese on WeChat (their Facebook) are starting to warm to Trump - especially those who are in the US already.
Those in China are politically quite naive, having lived in such a monolithic system all their lives.

I detest much of China. They do horribly cruel things to dogs in Yulin at the festival coming in a few weeks...like skin and boil them alive. Supposedly to make them taste better.
So let them say whatever they want. Until they stop their barbaric treatment of dogs ( and cats) I wish them nothing nice.
Seesh, China may be cruel to dogs, but that’s really the least of the worries to have about them.

OMG, I wish I had not read that. As a parent to a sweet Golden Retriever & 2 adorable puppies, that makes my blood boil.
I wasn’t a fan of China to start with but now I really hate them.
For the battle that the country is in, what we need is not an Eisenhower but a Patton.
If you don’t love dogs maybe. It is a sadistic street festival beyond words.
At least ten thousand dogs. And cats too.
The more pain and suffering they can inflict, the more they love it.
It’s a character testimony for that part of the country.
South Korea does this too.
If you google Yulin there is a petition you can sign.
We need a wartime consigliere.

Thanks! I’ll check it out.
