Short of daily injections of testosterone, women lack the hunter/killer drive that most men have that we use to hone them into proficient killers. (and as a side note, once they are developed into effective and willing killers, getting them to stop when they're told to.) Very, very few women are capable brutes.
Unit cohesion will be shredded with women within a unit. Sex will happen. Some of those of you on that isolated hilltop will be getting lucky while most of the others won't and they'll be resentful. How much mission focus do you see happening here? How likely will it be to see PFC A going to the rescue of PFC B when they are both in earnest competition for the lady PFC C? How confident will you feel in your Listening Posts at night when they include one female and one male?
If you are an unattached and unlucky male and you are assigned the point or any other dangerous mission, were you picked because you were the one they figured could be lost without anyone caring? Anybody remember that in this hotbed of sexual competition that everyone's armed?
Females (and openly-serving gays) have no place at all in combat. Combat is too difficult, too stressful, too isolated to introduce sexual dynamics and major physical differences.
I can only hope and pray that our military leaders will restore sanity after Obama and after trash like our current Service Secretaries are gone.

Your theory holds up to my experiences. Women have been arrogantly brainwashed into thinking these things. They are terrible at business, a prime reason American corporations are failing.

I think they might just be left behind, if it is a truly balls to the wall situation. Everyone would know this. I mean, they volunteered to weaken the unit and put their fellow soldiers at risk by being there in the first place. Constantly needing help and extra time to do things in the reality and stress of a combat zone might be a self correcting problem.
The only other way I can see it playing out is if they are treated like some sort of combat mascot that helps unit cohesion.

This reminds me of some of the National Guard regiments at the start of WW2. Poorly trained and very badly led several broke and ran . Later on after weeding out they came back very well. Unfortunately it seems this has always been this way.
Americans don’t like spendthrift generals or high wastage rates and when the next fight starts we will have plenty of both for a while.
I suspect the main driver of this push is simply more women in the government workforce (”workfare”); everything else just ripples through. That people are even suggesting this with a straight face after our two recent losses (Iraq, Afghanistan) indicates they never seriously expect women to see combat.
This is hilarious. It might be serious but there is no draft. They might well be drafting children over 13 or all elderly over 90. There is no draft. They’re making rules for something that doesn’t exist. And depending who is in power if it ever is re-established, will create deferments so fast, it will never get off the ground. This was pandering at its best. Big deal.

Scale comparison with the M-16 seems to indicate many are shorter than 5’-6” as well.
How can we get rid of them and the middle level entrenched military admin staff. Presumably there exist entire regiments of JAG’s that deal with nothing but diversity enforcement.
The purge is virtually complete. Enough of the old guard has been fired/forced out, and the rest are P.C. cowards who just want to mark time to their pensions.

Already happening in Support & Combat Service Support units all over the military. Women are non-deplorable at alarming rates, mostly due to pregnancy. The ones that do deploy are often sent home early for the same reason. The military hasn’t solved the problem in these units, and yet they are agreeable to extending the problem to actual combat units???
So TRADOCS, that once tested and set training and doctrine is almost fully in that camp?

Read about this guy, and what happened to him related to his “subject matter expert” briefs and lectures to the JCS, CIA, FBI etc. Not only was he purged and all jihad information purged, today, the military, FBI and CIA are not even allowed to use the words Islamic, jihad, etc. Imagine fighting WW2, but being forbidden to use the words Nazi, Hiter, Gestapo, SS etc, as being “anti-German slurs.” That is where we are today. In the interests of full disclosure, I haven’t finished the nearly 800 pages yet. The book is so worthy of study, it takes some time simply to absorb. (note: 6/20/2015 I have finished reading the entire book, and I recommend it even more than previously).
In October, 2011, John Brennan, Deputy National Security Advisor for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism and currently the head of the CIA, wrote a letter on White House stationary directing US security agencies such as the FBI, CIA, military intelligence, and homeland security, to immediately stop any classes or training material on terrorism which mentioned Islam. Award-winning instructors such as Stephen Coughlin, who was constantly in demand for his knowledgeable and thorough preparations, were completely shut off from training security and intelligence personnel in the canonical, theological, and historical basis for those observant Muslims who are responsible for a majority of terrorism today. Not only were experts such as Coughlin bared from any further instruction, but trainees who had taken classes from them were given “re-education” classes, whatever that meant.

It also shows how sophisticated and determined the Islamic enemy is, and how determined to wipe out our liberties and freedoms. There’s a tendency to view Muslims as somewhat unsophisticated and somewhat uncomfortable in the technological world. In fact, the Muslim Brotherhood and its allies have thoroughly mastered the levers of national and international power. This is very, very thoroughly documented. Organized Islam, as led by the Muslim Brotherhood, has a coherent philosophy, strategy, and tactical repertoire to displace Western laws and government with sharia. They have systematically co-opted even our language. “Catastrophic Failure” provides the tools to see through the lies, evasions, and manipulations. It does take an effort. The nexus of covert invasion is extensive.
