We may not need military commandos but the police need to become psuedo-soldiers with the proper training.

Look how the police dressed in 1965, 75,85,95, 2005 and now.

I liked them a lot better in the earlier decades.

There is a trend to a more massive firepower approach because our levels of violence and terror are magnifying.

Garbage. That is the kind of crap-justification that has given every fedgov agency its own SWAT team. Less SWAT. More armed citizenry.

I too liked the cops better in the old days when all they wore was a belt, walkie talkie, baton and pistol. Now, so many criminals are armed much better and with more firepower that cops do not stand a chance in a surprise ambush.
